John Stamos has been beloved in Hollywood for decades. The Full House alum has been candid about his past relationships, his sobriety, and everything in between. Over the past several years, fans have watched the Big Shot actor transition into a new role as a father.

How did John Stamos and Caitlin McHugh meet?
Stamos and McHugh have a fascinating meet-cute story. The couple first met in 2015 on the set of Law and Order: SVU. “I played a guy who was so egotistical that he thought he should spread his progeny, so he had like 60 kids or something,” the actor told People. “He was poking holes in condoms and stuff. And Caitlin, ironically, was one of the girls that I was trying to fool and have a baby with.”
At the time, McHugh was in a relationship. But the pair later crossed paths when McHugh’s roommate had a guest-starring role on Fuller House, and McHugh was in the audience.
“I walked in, I went, ‘Hey, are you stalking me?’ She was like, ‘No …’ That’s why I love her,” the General Hospital star said. “She’s like, ‘What? No. I haven’t thought of you twice.’”
From there, the pair began dating, eventually getting engaged in October 2017 at Disneyland. “He put together some of the most romantic moments from Disney and Pixar animation [in a video],” Good Morning America reported. “And then he ended it with Sebastian from The Little Mermaid saying, ‘Just ask the girl’ to John.”
The duo tied the knot in Feb. 2018 and welcomed their son, William (Billy) Christopher Stamos, a few months later.
What is the age difference between John Stamos and Caitlin McHugh?
McHugh is 34 years old and Stamos is 57 years old which means the couple has a 23 year age difference between them. However, they both looking stunning and youthful so you would never know.
However, that hasn’t stopped McHugh from joking about their age difference. Before the couple welcomed Billy, they began talking about having kids before tying the knot.
“We have the same morals and the same values, that all clicked nicely. So we said, ‘Oh, well, maybe we should have a family,'” the ER actor told People.”[Caitlin said] ‘Maybe we should have a kid [before we get married]’ and I said, ‘Why?’” John recalled, to which Caitlin allegedly responded, “’Because you’re old.’”

McHugh has her own extensive career. She is a model, signed to Wilhelmina Models, and an actor, having starring roles in films like I Am Legend and on tv shows like The Vampire Diaries.
The actor also has a partnership with My Saint My Hero jewelry to fight against child abuse. 100 percent of the proceeds from their collection will go to ChildHelp, an organization that works to prevent or stop abuse and treat victims.
