‘Jonas Brothers Family Roast’: Release Date, Special Guests, and How to Watch
Fans of the Jonas Brothers can celebrate Thanksgiving week with a roast. And no, we don’t mean the dinner entrée. On Oct. 25, Nick, Joe, and Kevin Jonas announced their upcoming Jonas Brothers Family Roast special, which will bring the musical family together for friendly insults, music, games, and more. The announcement teased a “one-of-a-kind comedy special,” so fans won’t want to miss it. Here’s what to know about the Jonas Brothers Family Roast, including release date, guests, and how to check it out.
What is the ‘Jonas Brothers Family Roast’?
The Jonas Brothers rose to fame in the early 2000s for their music, which led to cameos on various Disney Channel shows and even their own show called Jonas. Six years after the band’s 2013 breakup — which Joe said hit the group like a tsunami — the Jonas Brothers came back in full force. They released a new album and several singles, as well as a documentary and a concert film. Now, the Jonas Brothers are ready to take on comedy.
As Kevin revealed in the trailer below, Jonas Brothers Family Roast will show fans another side to the beloved trio. TVLine shared a synopsis for the special:
A one-of-a-kind comedy special of epic proportions that celebrates the universal truth that no one can get under your skin quite like your own family. You’ll see the multi-platinum global superstars the Jonas Brothers like you’ve never seen them before through sketches, songs, games, and special guests — all to give them a roasting they’ll never forget.
When is the ‘Jonas Brothers Family Roast’ release date?
Netflix will house the comedy special, with a release date set for Tuesday, Nov. 23. The streaming service typically drops new releases at 3 a.m. ET, which is 12 a.m. PT for fans on the west coast. Fans outside of the U.S. can enjoy Jonas Brothers Family Roast, too, as Netflix will release the special globally on the same day.
Special guests include John Legend, Pete Davidson, and more
Of course, Jonas Brothers Family Roast will include banter between Nick, Joe, and Kevin. However, fans can also expect plenty of special appearances. Comedian Kenan Thompson will host the event, while Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias, Pete Davidson, Niall Horan, John Legend, Lily Singh, and Jack Whitehall will appear as guests.
On Oct. 31, Nick’s wife, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, shared a behind-the-scenes look at the comedy show on Instagram. She posed beside Joe’s wife, Sophie Turner, and Kevin’s wife, Daniella Jonas (the three call themselves the J Sisters.) In the background of the shot, Kevin Jonas Sr. could also be seen.
It’s unclear if the entire Jonas family will participate in the roast, but they’ll certainly be sitting in the audience.
How to watch ‘Jonas Brothers Family Roast’
Jonas Brothers fans can watch the roast with a Netflix subscription. Those who don’t subscribe to the service can sign up for the Basic, Standard, or Premium plan. At this time, Netflix does not offer a free trial.
