The Jonas Brothers’ Newest Single Might, Surprisingly, Be Their Most Popular Song
Our Disney Channel prayers have been answered with the triumphant return of the Jonas Brothers. Now with a few albums available for listening, it’s hard to pick which song by this boy band is the fan-favorite. Based on Spotify streams and award nominations, here are some of the most popular Jonas Brothers songs.
Recently, The Jonas Brothers performed ‘What a Man Gotta Do’ at the Grammy Awards
As one of the top trending YouTube videos of its release date, the Jonas Brothers rung in the new decade with their song “What a Man Gotta Do.” Complete with a music video that referenced classic romance movies from the ’70s and ’80s, this song earned millions of plays on Spotify, Apple Music, and other streaming platforms.
In fact, “What A Man Gotta Do” is currently the group’s second “popular” song on Spotify. The boy band went on to perform “What a Man Gotta Do” at the Grammy Awards, earning a nomination for another song, their 2019 release “Sucker.”
The Jonas Brothers formed to release their first single together, ‘Sucker’
When the Jonas Brothers got back together, they first premiered the music video for their song “Sucker,” featuring the wives of each member. This quickly became one of the most popular music videos for the boy band, with over 240 million plays on YouTube. Currently, it’s their most popular song on the streaming platform, Spotify, with over 600 million plays, far surpassing Jonas Brothers songs released during the early 2000s.
“Sucker” earned the Jonas Brothers their first Grammy nomination in the Best Pop Duo/Group Performance category. This song earned the 2019 MTV Video Music Award for Best Pop Video, in addition to the band earning the Teen Choice Award for Choice Summer Music Star: Group.
Another popular Jonas Brothers’ song is ‘Burnin’ Up’
If you’ve been a fan of the Jonas Brothers since their Jonas/Camp Rock/Disney Channel era, you might be blasting some of their throwbacks every once and a while. Some older songs released by the Jonas Brothers continue to earn streams on Spotify, including “Burnin’ Up,” “Love Bug,” “Year 3000,” and “S.O.S.” (The boys sometimes performed these songs live along their “Happiness Begins” tour.)
Their song “When You Look Me in the Eyes” earned the Teen Choice Award for Choice Single, while “Burnin’ Up” earned a MuchMusic Video Award for People’s Choice: Favorite International Video. The Jonas Brothers’ “throwback” song with the highest number of streams on Spotify is “Burnin’ Up,” with over 80 million plays.
The Jonas Brothers also released their song ‘Only Human’
After their initial debut with “Sucker,” the Jonas Brothers premiered their full-length album Happiness Begins. Besides “Sucker,” the two songs with the most Spotify plays off of the album are “Cool” (115 million plays) and “Only Human” (215 million plays.)
The group also released a holiday song, “Like It’s Christmas,” earlier in 2019. That song has 30 million plays on the streaming platform. Fans expect more singles by the Jonas Brothers to premiere as the year progresses.
Until then, music by The Jonas Brothers, including “What A Man Gotta Do,” is available on streaming platforms like Spotify and Apple Music.
