Before popping the question to Steinfeld, Josh Allen was in a long-term relationship with a woman he met when he was just a kid. Allen dated Brittany Williams from 2017 until 2023 when they parted ways. They knew each other even longer, though.

During an appearance on The Morning After in 2022, Williams recalled how she met Allen as a kid at a party. While they first met as young children, they only reconnected once they were teens. Williams claims she and Allen flirted and shared a kiss before he ghosted her for a year. When he reached out to her again in 2017, they decided to make their relationship work. Williams moved across the country to be close to Allen when the Buffalo Bills drafted him in 2020. Just a few years later, the relationship ended abruptly.

Williams, who has built a following on social media, never spoke directly about what caused the end of their relationship. Still, rumors have swirled that Allen may have cheated on his college sweetheart.
