Josh Duggar‘s trial concluded on Dec. 9, 2021. Duggar was found guilty on two counts of downloading and possessing child sexual abuse material after federal agents arrested him in April 2021. Reporters at the trial noted many members of the Duggar family attended various days at the courthouse, but Josh Duggar’s wife, Anna Duggar, stood by his side through the entire event. So has Anna Duggar made a statement regarding the guilty verdict? Here’s what we know about what her life could look like moving forward.

Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar — as well as Jill Duggar and her husband, Derick Dillard — released statements regarding Josh Duggar’s trial and guilty verdict. Michelle didn’t attend the trial, but Jim Bob did. Jim Bob was in court when the guilty verdict was read.

“This entire ordeal has been very grievous,” the Duggar family statement reads on their website. “Today, God’s grace, through the love and prayers of so many, has sustained us. … In the days ahead, we will do all we can to surround our daughter-in-law Anna and their children with love and support.”

“Today was difficult for our family,” Jill and Derick wrote on their family blog. “Our hearts go out to the victims of child abuse or any kind of exploitation. We are thankful for the hard work of law enforcement.”

Jill and Derick then referenced Anna Duggar. “Children have scars, but his family is also suffering the fallout of his actions,” the statement continued. “Our hearts are sensitive to the pains Josh’s wife, Anna, and their seven children have already endured and will continue to process in the future. This trial has felt more like a funeral than anything else.”

Has Josh Duggar’s wife, Anna Duggar, made a statement?

Duggar family followers expect more Duggars to make public statements and speak out regarding Josh Duggar’s trial. But has Anna Duggar made a statement?

So far, it seems she hasn’t publicly made any statements regarding the guilty verdict or what occurred at the trial. She hasn’t updated her Instagram either, though the profile remains public. She last posted about the birth of their child on Nov. 16, 2021, but she limited the comments on the post. Aside from that, she hasn’t updated her profile statement to include her seventh child either. It still reads, “I’m a Christian. Happily married and have six beautiful children!”

The Sun notes Anna looked “stoic” at the guilty charge. Josh reportedly told Anna he loved her before he was handcuffed and taken away, and she hustled quickly out of the courtroom with the rest of the Duggars. She refused to answer questions from reporters on her way out. It’s unclear whether she will break her silence or keep her social media public moving forward.

Who will help care for Josh and Anna Duggar’s 7 children?

Caring for seven children isn’t easy, and now Anna Duggar doesn’t have Josh Duggar to assist her. She just had her seventh child, Madyson Lily Duggar, in late October or early November 2021. Mackynzie is 12, Michael is 10, Marcus is 8, Meredith is 6, Mason is 4, and Maryella is 2.

It seems Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar have every intention of assisting Anna in helping with the children. Anna and Josh reportedly lived on the Duggar family property, so if Anna continues to live there, Jim Bob and Michelle will have quick access to the kids. Additionally, given what Jill and Derick shared, it seems they also might step in to help.

Anna also has her side of the family who might help. Anna’s brother, Daniel Keller, once offered to pay for her to move away from Josh. “I have told her I would pay for her to move out here with me and pay for her kids,” Daniel once commented on a Facebook post from Jessa Duggar. Additionally, a source told The Sun that Anna’s family allegedly helped with the children after Josh’s initial arrest.
