Josh Duggar’s Wife, Anna, Didn’t Post Anything About Attending Joy-Anna Duggar’s Baby Shower
Joy-Anna Duggar has exciting news: She’s pregnant and expecting a baby girl in August 2020. Not only is Joy-Anna ready to bring another little one into the family, but the other Duggars are excited as well. And they all helped Joy-Anna celebrate with a baby shower in July 2020.
Josh Duggar’s wife, Anna, was in attendance, too. While Anna frequently posts about the Duggars and her sisters-in-law, she didn’t post at all about Joy-Anna’s celebration. Here’s what we noticed.
Joy-Anna Duggar was affected in Josh Duggar’s molestation scandal
Josh has completely fallen out of grace with Counting On fans. Back in 2015, the media caught wind that reports found Josh molested underage girls in the early 2000s. Josh admitted that the reports were true as well. Ultimately, this caused him to lose his spot on reality TV with TLC, and it certainly caused strain within the family.
As for the girls affected, most of them were his sisters. And Joy-Anna was amongst them. Jill and Jessa, Joy-Anna’s older sisters, also admitted they were molested by Josh, though they didn’t want the media to attack their family for it. Instead, they wished the Duggars could deal with the matter privately.
“I was in tears. I couldn’t believe what was going on,” E! News reports Jill told Fox News. “Whenever I heard the police reports had been released, I said what … They didn’t have the right to do this. We’re victims. They can’t do this to us. And they did.”
Josh’s wife, Anna Duggar, seems close with Joy-Anna
Despite the past, Josh Duggar’s wife, Anna, seems incredibly close with her sisters-in-law. Anna’s made it clear she goes to Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar’s large family home regularly for nights with the rest of the Duggars. And Anna also comments on the Duggar sisters’ Instagrams regularly.
Joy-Anna and Anna seem particularly close, too. On June 20, Joy-Anna posted a photo of her baby bump to Instagram with the caption, “Each step is one step closer to meeting this baby! We cannot wait!!”
To that, Anna commented back, “Can’t wait to meet her!”
Anna also commented kindly to a post about Joy-Anna’s miscarriage. “The way you have trusted Jesus through the pain is such an example to me!” Anna commented on Joy-Anna’s post. “The love, joy & peace of Jesus radiates from your life. I miss Annabell so much and look forward to seeing her in heaven.”
Anna attended Joy-Anna’s baby shower but posted nothing
While Anna may frequently like and comment on Joy-Anna’s Instagram posts, it seems she didn’t post about the baby shower at all.
On July 27, the Duggar Family Instagram posted photos from the expecting mother’s big day — and many of the Duggar sisters were there to celebrate. The first photo in the set shows Michelle beside her daughters, and even Jill was invited despite current family tension. And the final photo shows Anna holding her young daughter, Maryella.
While Anna didn’t post anything to her own Instagram about the celebration, she did post about going to Jim Bob Duggar’s birthday party at the Duggar family home on July 18. And she posted again about taking her kids on a trip and about her parents’ anniversary. It seems Anna’s still quite active on social media — but when it comes to Joy-Anna’s big day, she didn’t add any photos herself.
There’s a chance Anna will add photos later, of course. Or, there’s also the possibility that Joy-Anna doesn’t want too many photos of the shower on Instagram. Joy-Anna and Austin chose to take a step back from Counting On. And she didn’t even bother to post photos from the big day either, which may mean she desires some privacy there.
Either way, it seems Anna’s still tight with the Duggar family — and we’re sure we’ll see plenty of photos of future family events on her Instagram feed.
