Josh Duggar’s Wife, Anna Duggar, Allegedly Hurt by Duggar Family Members Speaking Out Against Josh: ‘That Broke Her Heart’
Josh Duggar’s trial ended in December 2021 with a guilty verdict. The trial began in November 2021 after federal agents arrested Josh in April 2021 on suspicion of downloading and obtaining child sexual abuse material. During the trial, Josh Duggar’s wife, Anna Duggar stood by his side through it all. Now, Anna reportedly feels hurt by what the Duggars said about Josh in the wake of the trial.
Multiple Duggar family members spoke out after Josh Duggar’s trial and guilty verdict
The Duggar family continues to speak out regarding Josh Duggar’s guilty verdict. The jury found Josh guilty of two counts of obtaining child sexual abuse material, and his sentence is still yet to be determined. A number of Duggar family members attended various days of the trial. Josh Duggar’s wife, Anna Duggar, stood by Josh’s side through the trial. She reportedly looked “stoic” when his guilty verdict was read.
After the trial, Joy-Anna Duggar, Jill Duggar, and Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar all released statements. “Over this last year, as you can imagine, there have been a lot of unanswered questions in our minds regarding Josh,” Joy-Anna’s Instagram Stories read on Dec. 12, 2021. “We were able to sit through the trial to hear the evidence for ourselves.” She then said she and husband Austin Forsyth “agree with the judicial system’s verdict.”
“We have been lied to so much that we wanted to hear the evidence for ourselves in court,” Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard’s statement read. “After seeing all the evidence as it was presented, we believe that the jury reached a just verdict today, consistent with the truth beyond a reasonable doubt.”
Josh Duggar’s wife, Anna Duggar, allegedly feels hurt by Josh’s siblings speaking against him
A number of Duggar family siblings mentioned they agree with the evidence presented by the prosecution in Josh Duggar’s trial. So, where does this leave Anna Duggar? Anna reportedly stood by Josh through his initial arrest, and she was by his side through the entire court case. She has yet to make a statement of her own regarding Josh’s guilty verdict. But according to a source who spoke with In Touch Weekly, she feels hurt by the Duggar siblings who spoke out against Josh.
“Anna is still speaking to [Jim Bob Duggar] and [Michelle Duggar], but a lot of the siblings have distanced themselves,” the insider alleged. “She was upset that some family members decided to speak out against Josh. That broke her heart.”
“[Jill Duggar)] and her husband [Derick Dillard] are happy that justice was served,” the source added. “[Jinger Duggar Vuolo] called Josh a hypocrite and said that [she was] praying for his soul. Some of the relationships may be salvageable, but Anna says that’s only because of her faith and the power of forgiveness.”
Did Anna Duggar separate from Josh Duggar?
What will Anna Duggar do now after Josh Duggar’s trial? As stated previously, Anna has yet to make any statements about Josh. So far, it doesn’t appear like she and Josh have separated. But with the sentencing still on the table, family followers don’t know what she’ll do next.
Anna gave birth in October 2021 to her and Josh’s seventh child. We imagine she’ll need assistance in raising the seven kids, and it seems if she maintains a good relationship with Jim Bob and Michelle, they’ll likely help her as well.
In Jim Bob and Michelle’s statement, they noted they will do everything they can to surround Anna and her seven children with whatever they need. “In the days ahead, we will do all we can to surround our daughter-in-law Anna and their children with love and support,” they wrote on their family blog.
