Josh Duggar’s Wife, Anna Duggar, Clapped Back at a Fan Who Said She Doesn’t Look Like She ‘Feels Very Well’
Those who follow the Duggars via TLC’s Counting On likely know all about Josh Duggar. While Josh has come under fire since 2015, his wife, Anna, still maintains her Instagram presence and has plenty of fans. And she usually responds to her fans who ask her questions via social media.
It look like Anna’s over some of the aggressive comments she gets from fans, though. Here’s how she just clapped back at one follower who said she looked unwell at a Duggar family Christmas party.
Anna Duggar brought her baby, Maryella, to a Duggar Christmas party days after giving birth
The Duggars adore kids, and Josh and Anna are no different. The couple already has six children, and Maryella, their youngest, was born in November 2019.
“Maryella Hope arrived one day ahead of Thanksgiving Day 2019 and a great reminder to be grateful for all God has done for us!” Anna captioned her post of the baby on Nov. 27, 2019. “We are so excited and thankful to God for His special blessing giving us this precious, happy & healthy baby girl!”
While Anna took it easy for Thanksgiving, she attended a Duggar family party just days after giving birth. “Little Maryella Hope made her debut (at 5 days old) for her first #familynight with the big family … and she seemed to enjoy it so much!” Anna captioned her post from the Duggar’s ugly sweater party. “Our kiddos had a blast getting dressed up and spending time together with everyone while enjoying good fellowship, food and fun!”
Anna commented back to a fan who seemed concerned for her health
On Aug. 25, Anna revisited the Duggar Christmas party photos. She posted the same photo of her, Maryella, and the rest of her family, and it caused one fan to question Anna’s health.
“Great picture. Mommy doesn’t look like she feels very well yet,” one fan commented.
“Umm, I think it’s pretty typical not to feel the greatest less than a week after you deliver a baby,” Anna said back. “I was still happy to be with family and let them meet their newest niece!”
Other fans came to Anna’s defense in the comments, too. “Well, for just having a baby less than a week from when this was taken, you look great!” a fan wrote back.
“You do look (understandably) very tired but so happy!” another added.” I am always in awe of how you juggle everything! You’re an inspiration!”
Duggar family critics think Anna went to the party just to be filmed for ‘Counting On’
It looks like Anna posted the photo of the Christmas party since parts of that same party were featured on Counting On. And in an Instagram post prior, Anna even made note of her inclusion on the show. “It means a lot when our family is included (on rare occasions) in the events that air on TV with Joshua’s family,” she captioned the post. “We had a blast celebrating Christmas with an ugly sweater party and a Christmas play!”
Duggar family critics think the real reason Anna went to the party a few days after giving birth to Maryella was just to get some camera time, too.
“I TOTALLY get not looking your best so soon after a baby. But being around that circus of people and cameras is the last place I’d want to be while I’m still wearing my postpartum diaper,” one Reddit user noted.
Another critic wrote, “… happy to be filmed to be on TV with Joshua’s family. That’s what she really meant.”
Anna doesn’t typically clap back at her followers, so we’ll be interested to see if this trend continues or if she just felt the need to explain herself this once.
