Josh Duggar’s Wife, Anna, Posted a Photo of Her Supporting the Local Police, and Fans Think It’s Truly Strange
Those who’ve kept up with the Duggars are quite familiar with Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar’s oldest son, Josh. While many Duggar followers find the family’s ultra-religious practices to be controversial, it was Josh who brought them even more shame following his molestation charges. Not only that, but he was also caught on the cheating website Ashley Madison, and many have felt sorry for his wife, Anna, and their six children.
Anna rarely addresses any of Josh’s scandals despite having a seriously active social media presence. Instead, she likes to post happy photos of her family and her kids despite whatever the media may be reporting.
While she has a lot of supportive fans, her photo she added to Instagram on Jan. 9 is alarming her followers. Here’s what she posted about supporting the local police and what everyone’s talking about.
Josh Duggar was reportedly under investigation by Homeland Security
While Josh has been in trouble with the law before, he tends to fly under the radar while the rest of his adult siblings get attention now. But such was not the case in November 2019. Local Arkansas news stations reported that Homeland Security agents were investigating Josh’s car lot. And a spokesperson for Homeland Security even seemed to confirm that something was going on.
Despite the reports, Josh and his wife have remained silent. And the Duggars released a statement on the Duggar Family Instagram stating Homeland Security wasn’t on their property, though they made no mention of Josh.
“We were shocked to see a news report today state that our home was raided by federal law enforcement agencies. This is not true. To the best of our knowledge, it’s also not true that any member of our family is the target of any investigation of any kind,” the statement read.

Josh may be in trouble with the law currently, though if that’s the case, it’s been kept under serious wraps. And Anna has remained totally cool, calm, and collected throughout the reports. She’s consistently posted updates on her kids (especially her sixth baby) to Instagram for her followers. But her post on Jan. 9 is getting a lot of attention.
Anna posted a photo of her kids along with some of the Duggars at the Tontitown police station, and the appeared to bring a tray of store-bought cookies to the station. “We had fun taking a cookie tray to show our appreciation for our local police officers!” Anna captioned the post. “To all the law enforcement across our nation, you are appreciated and we pray for your safety!” She then tagged the post with the hashtag “#LawEnforcementAppreciationDay.”
Fans find the photo strange
Many of Anna’s Instagram followers promptly commented on the photo and thanked the busy mom of six for taking the time to acknowledge the local police force. But others who follow the Duggars found the post to be quite strange. Not only is the post oddly timed considering all the controversy regarding Josh and Homeland Security, but Reddit users noted how off the composition feels.
“Taking the picture from that angle was a choice. They look even more like a creepy cult,” one Reddit user commented.
Another wrote, “Do something nice or kind for someone but don’t grandstand. Don’t post on social media with your kids.. to say ‘look how great we are’. I’ll let you in on a secret.. No one is buying that s***. No one believes that is a nice or kind thing you are doing because you’ve now made it about you.”
Yet another added, “Jennie’s hair… The angle of the photo… The nature of the visit… So many wrongs in one place.”
Others questioned if Anna was trying to bribe the police for reasons unknown as of now. If this is the case, we’re sure to learn more about Josh and his alleged visit from Homeland Security soon, so we’ll keep our eyes and ears peeled for more information.
