Joy-Anna Duggar ‘Scared’ Her Followers Into Thinking Something Bad Happened With the Title of Her YouTube Video
Joy-Anna Duggar and Austin Forsyth welcomed a little girl into the world, and the parents are more excited than ever to share updates with their fans. While the couple is no longer featured on TLC’s Counting On, they have a YouTube channel where they post their own content. And after Joy-Anna added a video titled, “My heart is breaking,” fans voiced their concerns.
Joy-Anna Duggar and Austin Forsyth welcomed their daughter, Evelyn Mae
Joy-Anna and Austin were very excited to announce Joy-Anna’s pregnancy, as they were devastated by the miscarriage she had in 2019. Back when it occurred, the couple shared the unfortunate news with their social media followers. And it made Joy-Anna’s pregnancy in 2020 all the sweeter.
The couple has created multiple videos and posted them to YouTube to record their 2020 pregnancy journey. Finally, on Aug. 21, 2020, Joy-Anna gave birth to little Evelyn Mae.
“To say my heart is full is an understatement,” Joy-Anna announced via Instagram. “We have been dreaming of this day and are so happy to announce that our baby girl arrived August 21st at 2:12pm weighing 8lbs 5oz and is 19.5” long!”
On Sept. 14, Joy-Anna posted even more photos of her in the hospital holding her daughter right after birth. “Leading up to Evelyn’s birth, this is the moment I was looking forward to the most, holding her in my arms for the first time,” Joy-Anna captioned the post. “In the end, it didn’t matter how she got here, as long as mom and baby we’re healthy!”
Joy-Anna posted a video to YouTube about bringing Evelyn home
On Sept. 24, Joy-Anna posted another video of the day she got to bring Evelyn home. And it seems Joy-Anna and Austin had to stay in the hospital a bit longer than expected due to Evelyn’s elevated bilirubin levels. Newborn jaundice can occur when babies have higher than average levels of bilirubin, so the doctors wanted to make sure Evelyn was just fine before being sent home.
“They’re going to have to monitor her, so we have to stay another night,” Joy-Anna told her camera. “We thought we were gonna be able to go home at 2 o’clock today, but we’re having to stay longer.”
Joy-Anna then showed how Evelyn had to stay under a special hospital light “for 12 hours” to help her condition. The baby was only allowed “out for feedings,” which was difficult for both mom and child.
“My heart’s breaking,” Joy-Anna added. “I want to hold her. I hate that she has to be in there by herself, but hopefully she can get over this soon.”
Thankfully, Evelyn was able to make a quick turnaround. After a few sleepless nights for Joy-Anna, she explained in the video that Evelyn’s bilirubin numbers went down, and she was able to take her home.
Her fans were alarmed by the title of the video
Joy-Anna seemed ultra-concerned at the beginning of her video. But by the end, all was well, as she and Austin got to name Evelyn and take her home. It seems the title Joy-Anna chose for her video didn’t sit well with her fans, though. She titled it, “My heart is breaking,” and it scared her viewers.
“The title scared me soo much, I snuck away to the restroom here at work just to make sure everything was OK,” one fan commented on the video.
“Oh man the title is scaring me!” another wrote. “Hope everything is OK.”
“The title made me click on so fast!” yet another added. “Was worried something was wrong.”
We’re glad everything seems to be going well for Joy-Anna and Austin now that Evelyn is safely home. And we’re hoping Joy-Anna doesn’t have any more concerning titles for her videos!
