Jungkook Reveals Which BTS Song He Thinks Best Showcases His Singing
He first joined BTS as a teenager, growing up alongside RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, and V. Jungkook even noted that one song showcased the in-between stages of his “baby-like” voice and his current mature tone.
Here’s what the BTS vocalist, Jungkook, said about his favorite song that best showcased his singing.
What are Jungkook’s BTS solo songs?
He’s a talented singer, dancer, and BTS’ unofficial “Golden Maknae.” Jungkook is one of the seven performers in this award-winning K-pop group, appearing on songs like “Boy With Luv” and “Life Goes On,” in addition to solo songs.
For Map of the Soul: 7, that was the song “My Time.” For Love Yourself: Answer, that was “Euphoria.” Jungkook even played a role in writing “Stay” for the group’s 2020 release, Be (Deluxe Edition.)
Which BTS song best showcases Jungkook’s ‘current stable voice’?
Thanks to one video in conjunction with BE (Deluxe Edition,) the BTS members took turns interviewing each other. The rapper, J-Hope, asked Jungkook about his work on the album, as well as his BTS solo songs.
“Of the songs you sang during BTS promotions…,” J-Hope said, according to a translation on the video, “or songs you’ve recorded and released, do you have a favorite song that you think best showcased your voice?”
“That’d be ‘Euphoria,'” Jungkook replied. “I was lucky to have received the song ‘Euphoria’ but I think my voice at the time was somewhat in between my baby-like voice of the past and my current stable voice.”
“At the time, I was thinking a lot about my vocalizations so I really struggled when I recorded that song,” he continued. “And my voice at the time of the recording was kind of like my own… there was this raw quality to it and my feelings were fully expressed and I put in so much effort into my voice.”
Jungkook’s ‘Euphoria’ appeared during the HBO drama series, ‘Euphoria’
It’s this song that was eventually featured in the HBO drama series of the same title, starring Zendaya. This was also the song that Jungkook performed after J-Hope’s “Just Dance” during the Love Yourself world tour.
J-Hope was sure to mention that, stating that it was a favorite of his for that reason. Although Jungkook released solo songs with BTS, fans are still waiting for the release of his mixtape, presumably under the same stage name. More information will most likely be announced in the coming weeks.
The “Dynamite” music video is now available on YouTube. Music by BTS, including their recently released album, Map of the Soul: 7, is available for streaming on Spotify, Apple Music, and most major platforms.
