‘Jungle Cruise’ Actors Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt Warned By Disney to Tone Down Sex Toy Banter
A movie cast’s chemistry is deeply felt in interviews. Jungle Cruise actors Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt have undeniable chemistry both on the silver screen and in real life. They had good fun joking around while promoting their new Disney movie Jungle Cruise. However, Disney was put off by some of the humor. Blunt recently recounted one specific instance where the studio instantly intervened for future interviews.
‘Jungle Cruise’ actors Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt have great chemistry
Jungle Cruise is based on the 1971 Disneyland theme park ride. Frank Wolff (Johnson) agrees to take Lily (Blunt) and her brother MacGregor (Jack Whitehall) on his small riverboat to follow research previously collected. However, they’re faced with more than they bargained for as supernatural forces and other foes seek to beat them to it. The fate of the world lies in their hands.
Johnson and Blunt’s chemistry is certainly one of the best elements. The action is entertaining, but they bounce humor off of one another so seamlessly. It’s clear that they had a wonderful time making Jungle Cruise. They also had some remarkably entertaining interviews promoting the movie that made for some great social media moments.
Disney warned Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt about sex toy banter
Johnson was recently profiled in Vanity Fair. Blunt explained that Johnson is a very kind man, but that he enjoys pushing boundaries. She finds it to be a bit surprising, but it also makes her laugh.
“He has no boundaries whatsoever,” Blunt said. “He’s a very confusing person because he’s the most polite gentleman in the world, and then he will just push the boundaries until he is saying things that will just make your head spin to make you laugh…. I think that he’s got this rebellious kid in him that won’t be straitjacketed.”
Blunt recounted one specific Jungle Cruise interview where they were asked what they would bring into the jungle with them. Johnson joked that Blunt should bring Vagisil, so Blunt sought to respond in a similar fashion. She suggested that Johnson should bring anal beads. He continued that Disney was soon in touch to tell them to calm it down.
Johnson said, “I can’t tell you how quick we got those calls: ‘We really love your chemistry and what you guys are doing—but can we dial it back a little bit on the anal beads?’”
‘Jungle Cruise 2’ is in the works
Critics and audiences reviewed the first installment rather well. Additionally, it has reached over $212.5 million at the box office. Unsurprisingly, Disney is looking to invest in another installment. Jungle Cruise 2 is now currently in development. The studio is also looking at other Disneyland theme park attractions that they can turn into motion pictures.
Johnson and Blunt will be reprising their roles for the sequel. However, Whitehall’s return hasn’t be confirmed. Director Jaume Collet-Serra is also expected to be involved in Jungle Cruise 2. Stay tuned for more information.
