In September 2018 — singer, Justin Bieber, and model Hailey Baldwin shocked the world when they married in a courthouse ceremony. Since Bieber had just ended his on-again, off-again relationship with Selena Gomez and hardly anyone knew he and Baldwin were seeing each other, the wedding came as quite a shock.
Still, the young love birds knew better than us how they feel about each other. After weathering several storms, including Bieber’s struggles with his mental health and trolls who continuously trash their relationship —Bieber and Baldwin just celebrated one year of wedded bliss.
This past September — they celebrated their union with a formal ceremony with family and loved ones at the Montage Palmetto Bluff in Bluffton, South Carolina. Baldwin was absolutely dazzling in her strapless lace dress designed by Off-White’s Virgil Abloh. However, it turns out that Bieber nearly ruined her stunning gown.

On Sept. 30, 2019 — Baldwin and Bieber had their official ceremony in South Carolina where they shared their love in front of family and friends. The Montage Palmetto Bluff is a 20,000-acre luxury resort so the Bieber/Baldwin crew had plenty of room to stretch out. An insider told US Weekly, “It made their marriage feel more ‘real’ and ‘official’ to them. They kept the wedding small because Justin didn’t want any ‘fake friends’ there.” Kylie and Kris Jenner as well as Usher, Katy Perry, and Ed Sheeran all were in attendance.
Baldwin’s wedding gown was very special to her. In addition to being specially made, it also had “Till death do us part” embroidered on the train. Baldwin has walked many of Off-White’s runways before so we assume the designer has a special place in her heart.

For their reception — Baldwin changed into a high-neck gown which featured a thigh-high leg slit. It was just as stunning as her ceremony gown. However, Bieber nearly ruined the look. On Thanksgiving, the supermodel posted a never-before-seen photo of herself and Bieber at their reception. She captioned the photo, “thankful for the love of my life.”
In the photo, the newlyweds are embracing each other for a kiss. However, if you look close at Bieber’s hand which is resting just at the small of his wife’s back — you’ll notice that the singer is holding an uncapped black sharpie in his hand. Yikes.
It doesn’t appear that Bieber actually left any permanent damage on his wife’s gown –but he certainly came rather close.

Even if Bieber did inadvertently ruin Baldwin’s gown — he made up for it with her $155,000 birthday gift. The model celebrated her 23rd birthday on Nov. 22 and her hubby gifted her with flowers, sweets, an assortment of presents and a blinged-out watch. Bieber shared a video of the watch on Instagram captioning it, “Had to stop by @jadellebh for Hailey’s birthday gift flooded AP. ONLY THE BEST FOR MY BOO.”
The diamond-encrusted watch was designed by Audemars Piguet. Since Balwin already owns a rather expensive watch — fans had mixed reviews about Bieber gift, but it appears that she likes it.
