Police arrested Justin Timberlake shortly after midnight on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, after he ran a stop sign and swerved into the other lane while driving in Sag Harbor, New York. Timberlake refused a breathalyzer test, though officers noted that he smelled like alcohol and failed a field sobriety test. Therefore, Timberlake faces a DWI charge and citations amid the “Forget Tomorrow World Tour,” which began in April 2024.

The star’s tour crew members worried for Timberlake, as they weren’t sure what the DWI arrest meant for his tour. An insider told The U.S. Sun that Timberlake hopped on a conference call with his tour crew after the arrest to reassure them.

“He made sure that this arrest didn’t create tension in the crew,” the insider shared. “He reacted like a boss, like someone who owns his s***; he said sorry for bringing this kind of attention to the team. Everyone was happy to hear what he said.”

One of Timberlake’s tour coordinators told The U.S. Sun that Timberlake appeared “in great spirits” while admitting his wrongdoings “with a big smile.”

“We are 110% motivated to put everything behind us and put on some fantastic shows,” the coordinator added. “He is a responsible guy who made a mistake.”

Justin Timberlake plans to continue his tour with no delays

So, what will happen with Justin Timberlake’s world tour after his arrest? An insider told The U.S. Sun that Timberlake plans to continue the tour without interruption. However, the *NSYNC star has to return to court on July 26, 2024, which may interrupt his shows in Kraków, Poland.

“Justin’s team will be working to see if they can make sure he can perform in Poland,” an insider told The Sun. “At the moment, he is due in court on the same day he is starting the European leg of his tour. He is supposed to be playing two nights there. He will not want to let his fans down.”

Timberlake’s lawyer, Ed Burke Jr., will do everything possible to keep his client safe. “Mr. Burke looks forward to vigorously defending Mr. Timberlake against these allegations,” the attorney stated on Wednesday, June 19, according to People. “He will have a lot to say at the appropriate time. He is currently awaiting full discovery from the DA’s office.”
