Why Kaitlyn Bristowe Doesn’t Think Hannah Brown Should Be the Bachelorette Again
Hannah Brown has had a wild year. She became a huge star after competing on The Bachelor and becoming the bachelorette. She won a People’s Choice Award, and was awarded the Mirrorball Trophy after her time on Dancing with the Stars.
Brown’s also suffered great heartbreak this year. She navigated her way through a relationship she describes as “toxic” with Luke Parker, and she broke off her engagement to Jed Wyatt after learning he’d come on The Bachelorette with a girlfriend. Things didn’t work out between her and her runner-up Tyler Cameron after she asked him out for a drink at “After The Final Rose,” and, recently, fans watched her ask Peter Weber to “catch a flight” with her during his season of The Bachelor. While many of the former beauty pageant queen’s dreams are coming true, she hasn’t been having much luck in the love department.
Chris Harrison says Hannah Brown is ‘a viable candidate’ for ‘The Bachelorette’
Some fans are hoping Brown will get another shot as the bachelorette. Host Chris Harrison says it’s not out of the question.
E! News asked Harrison if he thought Brown should come back as the bachelorette.
“If she’s single then she’d be a viable candidate. Why not? Yeah, I think so. Why not? I think she’d be good. Be careful what you wish for I guess maybe,” he responded.
Kaitlyn Bristowe and Bachelor Nation weigh in on whether they think Hannah Brown should be the bachelorette again
Members of Bachelor Nation have mixed feelings about Brown returning. Former bachelorette Kaitlyn Bristowe thinks Brown was an “iconic” female lead but doesn’t think she should be the bachelorette again.
“No. And I love Hannah, I think she was one of the best Bachelorettes,” she told Us Weekly on January 17. “I think she was iconic — I think she changed a lot. I think she was very vulnerable about her feelings. Everything about Hannah as a bachelorette, I was like, ‘Yes, this is what we need as a bachelorette, as a woman, as a leader.’ [I] loved it, but I think she would know too much going back in.”
Bristowe added that, ultimately, she just wants Brown to be happy. If being the bachelorette again would make her happy then she thinks Brown should “go for it.”
Mike Johnson from Brown’s season of The Bachelorette and the most recent season of Bachelor In Paradise just wants Brown to find love.
“I think baby girl just need to find love. So that’s if, if that’s on TV or off TV. Just let her get some love,” he told Us Weekly.
Bachelor In Paradise star Ashley Iaconetti thinks the Bachelorette audience “needs to miss her before she takes the lead again.”
“I can see them having Hannah back as the Bachelorette down the road,” she told the publication. “She’s probably the most popular bachelorette ever and her journey has been messy and I don’t mean that with shade. I think if she was the bachelorette this upcoming season people would get Hannah burn out. In just one year we’ve seen her on The Bachelor, The Bachelorette, DTWS, and The Bachelor again.”
