Kanye West Angrily Calls Out Celebrities for Not Supporting Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs and Chris Brown
This week, Kanye West got on X, formerly Twitter, to express his support for Sean “Diddy” Combs and Chris Brown in a series of posts. West, who had a falling out with Combs in 2022, even called on Donald Trump to free him from jail. Here’s what he said in support of Combs and, later, Chris Brown.

In 2024, Combs was arrested and charged with sex trafficking and racketeering. He is currently awaiting trial in Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center. Over 150 people have accused Combs of sexual assault. He faces over 30 civil lawsuits, with more expected in the coming days.
West, who was friends with Diddy for years, demanded his release in a series of posts on X.
“PLEASE FREE MY BROTHER PUFF,” he wrote in a since-deleted post directed at Trump. He repeated the message in other posts. He also described Combs as his idol and claimed his arrest served to “prove a point.”
“THEY TRYNA PROVE A POINT AND YALL KNOW THAT YALL F***ING KNOW THAT AND SITTING LAUGHING AT THE F***ING INTERNET ON INSTAGRAM THIS MAN GAVE HIS LIFE TO US THIS MY IDOL THIS MY HERO.”
Many of Combs’ celebrity friends have actively worked to distance themselves from him since his arrest. West addressed them in his rant.
“ALL THESE CELEBRITY N***** AND B****ES IS P**** YALL WATCH OUR BROTHER ROT AND NEVER SAY S***.”
He also expressed his support for Brown, who has been convicted of felony assault and accused of rape.
“WE ALL WATCHED THEM TRY TO CANCEL CHRIS BROWN AND AINT NOBODY DO NOTHING I WAS P**** THEN TOO CHRIS BROWN ITS TIL THE WHEELS FALL OFF.”
He reportedly worried about the legal situation
West has spent a great deal of time outside the United States in recent months. Sources claim this is because of lawsuits against him, and his fear of implication in Combs’ legal problems.
“Kanye’s reasoning for not being [in America] has nothing to do with his children and has everything to do with the multiple lawsuits that he is facing in the state,” a source told the Daily Mail, adding, “[West] maintains his innocence, but this is what he’s keeping out of the country for.”
They claimed that he worries about his connection to Combs.
“With all this stuff with Diddy, Kanye is terrified,” the source said.
Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs responded to Kanye West’s posts
In one post, West said he planned to release a Yeezy clothing line in collaboration with Sean John, Combs’ brand.
“I’m selling the Sean John collaboration that me and my brother spoke about before they locked him up we splitting the profits 50/50.”
Combs shared a screenshot of the post on his Instagram account. In the caption, he wrote, “Thank you to my brother, [Ye]” and included a link to the Yeezy website.
