Kanye West Aspires to Buy All the Paparazzi Companies for a Vain Reason
Kanye West is famously known as one of the most eccentric stars of all time. Not only that but in recent years his name’s often been in the media for his bizarre antics and long, nonsensical tweets and ramblings about everything from politics to religion.
Although it seems as nothing West does could shock the public these days, he surprised everyone during an interview on Nick Cannon’s podcast by sharing that he’s gone to new lengths: he’s actually trying to buy all the paparazzi companies and for a very vain reason.
The rise and fall of Kanye West
West first started to receive public adoration with the release of his first album in the early 2000s. He was wholly acclaimed by music critics and fans alike as something of a musical genius and put out hit after hit. It became known that West actually started writing music when he was just a young child, and it was immediately clear that this man had talent.
However, West started troubling and alienating many fans when he started to reveal how narcissistic he was. He’s compared his music to the cure for cancer, and has referred to himself, not-so-modestly, as “the number one human being in music.”
West started to gain an even worse reputation after he married reality star Kim Kardashian West. Soon after, it became clear that something was going on with West’s mental health. His Twitter account became filled with rants about God, and he even announced in 2020 that he was running for President. Fans became genuinely worried, and the rest of the world cruelly brushed him off as a narcissistic egomaniac.
West announces his plans to buy out all the paparazzi companies
In a recent interview on Nick Cannon’s podcast, Cannon’s Class, West announced that he has plans to buy out paparazzi companies — all of them. He told Nick Cannon: “I’ll hop in the car with a paparazzi; I hire paparazzi. I know [business is] down ’cause of COVID, I am hiring. I’ll buy all the paparazzi companies.”
If that wasn’t peculiar enough, West went on to explain the exact reason he wants to buy all of the paparazzi companies, and it’s exactly as off-beat as you’d imagine: “I wanna pick the exact photos,” he explained.
This isn’t surprising, as West is known to micromanage his own and even his wife Kardashian West’s entire image and wardrobe. Plus, the couple and their children have the paparazzi hounding them everywhere they go — although rumors state that the family is hungry for the attention, even letting the paparazzi know where they’re going to be so they can have photos taken of them. It makes sense that he would want to be in charge of every picture of himself and his family that’s leaked to the public.
Another thing West is spending his cash on
West is seemingly not trying to live frugally. On top of offering to buy up “all” of the paparazzi companies, he also told Cannon in the same interview that he spent around $50 million last year on his Sunday Service Productions events — elaborate religious worship gatherings that are attended by A-list celebrities. West shared that the money came from the marketing budget of his enormously successful company, Yeezy.
“I spent every dime that I have for marketing from Yeezy on Sunday Service,” West stated, explaining: “The Yeezys, they were selling themselves. So instead of paying for ads, I invested it in the church. I invested in spreading gospel.”
West isn’t worried about money; he’s a billionaire, so he has the cash to spend on buying out the paparazzi and hosting the fanciest religious gatherings of all time!
