Kanye West Opens Up About Seeing Kim Kardashian West Kiss Pete Davidson on ‘SNL’
Kanye West is taking control of his narrative, and part of that is expressing how upset he is about Kim Kardashian West’s relationship with Pete Davidson. The Donda rapper recently shared that he didn’t like his wife kissing her new boyfriend in front of him when she hosted Saturday Night Live. Here are all the details we know so far.
Kim Kardashian West brought Kanye West when she hosted ‘Saturday Night Live’
Keeping Up with the Kardashians star Kim Kardashian West hosted Saturday Night Live on Oct. 9, 2021. According to Page Six, Kardashian West was “making eyes” at her husband Kanye West, who was sitting in the front row for her opening monologue. The two stars, who are currently divorcing, “kept waving and making eyes at each other.”
The publication previously reported that the rapper was quietly advising Kardashian West on her hosting gig. A source said he helped her with her costumes, monologue, and performance.
Kardashian West included her husband’s last name while introducing herself at the beginning of the episode. She also referred to him as “the best rapper of all time” and “the richest black man in America, a talented legit genius who gave me four incredible kids.”
The punchline was, “So when I divorced him, you have to know it came down to one thing – his personality.”
Kanye West didn’t like Kim Kardashian West kissing Pete Davidson in front of him
During her SNL appearance, Kardashian West dressed as Disney’s Princess Jasmine for one skit while Pete Davidson played Aladdin. They shared a scripted kiss toward the end of the sketch.
On Jan. 24, Kanye West did an interview with Jason Lee in which he shared his thoughts on that kiss. “How you gonna bring me to SNL and then kiss the dude you dating right in front of me?” the rapper said.
It’s worth noting that it’s unlikely Kardashian West was dating Davidson at the time of her hosting gig. They were first spotted together over Halloween weekend, weeks after she starred on SNL, and they didn’t publicly confirm their relationship until November 2021.
The rapper recently dissed Pete Davidson in his new song ‘Eazy’
Besides mentioning Davidson in his recent interview, Kanye West also dissed the SNL star in his new song ‘Eazy.’ In the track that came out on Jan. 15, West referenced surviving a nearly fatal car accident in 2002 before mentioning the comedian by name.
West rapped, “God saved me from that crash/Just so I can beat Pete Davidson’s ass.” A woman’s voice asks, “Who?” after West says Davidson’s name, implying that the comedian is unrecognizable and irrelevant.
The rapper released the song while being investigated for battery following an incident where he admitted to punching a man who asked for his autograph.
