Kanye West slammed wife Kim Kardashian West for letting their daughter North have a TikTok account

On Feb. 4, Kanye West shared a since-deleted Instagram post about his oldest daughter, North West, being on TikTok. He shared a screenshot of 8-year-old North’s face with the TikTok logo and her handle, @kimandnorth, clearly visible against a pink background.

West captioned the photo, “SINCE THIS IS MY FIRST DIVORCE I NEED TO KNOW WHAT I SHOULD DO ABOUT MY DAUGHTER BEING PUT ON TIK TOK AGAINST MY WILL ?”

Kim Kardashian West, whom the rapper is in the process of divorcing, quickly responded to the post in her Instagram Stories. “Kanye’s constant attacks on me in interviews and on social media is actually more hurtful than any TikTok North might create,” the SKIMS founder wrote. “As the parent who is the main provider and caregiver for our children, I am doing my best to protect our daughter while also allowing her to express her creativity in the medium that she wishes with adult supervision – because it brings her happiness.”

She added that “divorce is difficult enough” on their children and that “Kanye’s obsession with trying to control and manipulate our situation” is “only causing further pain for all.”

Candace Owens supported Kanye West by saying Kim Kardashian West ‘is wrong on this one’

Talk show host and political commentator Candace Owens weighed in on the rapper and the reality star’s divorce drama. On Feb. 4, Owens tweeted in support of Kanye West.

“Kim is wrong on this one,” Owens wrote. “The psychological effects of social media on young girls is real and documented.”

She said that the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star was “spinning” the rapper’s concern for his child. “It’s actually Kanye that is trying to protect his daughter in this regard and Kim is spinning this as ‘obsession’ and ‘control,’” Owens wrote. “There are other creative outlets for kids.”

She added in a separate tweet, “There is no 8 year old in the world that needs social media. Go color.”
