Kim Kardashian West filed for divorce from Kanye West months ago, but it seems like the rapper is still holding onto the marriage. Although he unfollowed her on social media, West claimed Kardashian West as his wife amidst rumors that she is dating Pete Davidson.

Kardashian West officially filed for divorce in February 2021 after seven years of marriage with the “Gold Digger” rapper. The famous couple shares four children, two of which were carried by surrogates.
The divorce proceedings have appeared amicable to the public. According to People, Kardashian West and West agreed to joint custody of their children, neither party is asking for spousal support, and they are close to reaching a settlement.
They continue to support each other professionally. West has a stake in Kardashian West’s shapewear brand SKIMS and offers her business advice. He helped her prepare for her hosting gig on Saturday Night Live, although he did not attend the live recording.
Kardashian West attended West’s Donda listening party in Chicago wearing a Balenciaga wedding gown. She has also said that the rapper will “always be the most inspirational person” to her.

Although they have stayed on friendly terms, West recently revealed that he wants to be more than just friends with Kardashian West. His remarks were somewhat surprising, considering he was rumored to be dating model Irina Shayk after his separation from the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star.
On the Nov. 4 episode of Revolt TV’s Drink Champs, West insistently referred to Kardashian West as his wife. “My wife – because she’s still my wife – ain’t no paperwork,” West said (via E! News).
“SNL making my wife say, ‘I divorced him’ because they just wanted to get that bar off,” the “Flashing Lights” rapper continued. “And I ain’t never even seen the papers; we’re not even divorced.
“That ain’t no joke to me,” he said. “My kids want their parents to stay together. I want us to be together.”

Despite claiming he wants to reconcile with his wife, West recently unfollowed Kardashian West on social media. This could be because the reality star has been spotted out multiple times with comedian and actor Pete Davidson over the last few days.
Fans first started speculating about a potential relationship between Kardashian West and Davidson when they kissed during a skit on Saturday Night Live on Oct. 9.
Then, on Oct. 29, they were photographed holding hands over Halloween weekend at Knott’s Berry Farm in Orange County, California. They were on what appeared to be a double date with Kardashian West’s sister, Kourtney Kardashian, and her fiancé Travis Barker.
On Nov. 2, just a few days after their Halloween date, Davidson and Kardashian West had dinner together in Staten Island.
