Kanye West’s Ex Said She Dealt With Years of ‘Constant Bullying’ From Him
Kanye West’s ex, Amber Rose, said her problems with the rapper did not end when their relationship did. The couple dated between 2008 and 2010 and had an acrimonious split. After their breakup, Rose said she spent years dealing with a campaign of hatred from West.
Kanye West’s ex said he mistreated her for years
In 2017, seven years after her split from West, Rose said she continued to deal with the fallout from the relationship. She said she’d spent years dealing with his bullying, including his infamous 2016 Twitter rant about Rose, her then-partner Wiz Khalifa, and their child.
“I still have never said anything mean about Kanye,” she said on Everyday Struggle (via Complex). “This is after six, seven years of constant bullying from him.”
She said a particularly brutal period in her life came after the release of My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. Many believed was about their relationship.
“Everyone else thought it was just about me, and it wasn’t… I had to just take that L,” she said. “If I was going to kill myself, I would have done it during those times.”
She didn’t believe his treatment of her was fair, as she said she chose not to profit from their relationship.
“I was quiet for so long. I could have got a reality show just off the fact that I was his girlfriend. I could have wrote a book just off the fact that I was his girlfriend. I said, you know what? I’m a real a** b****. I’mma take the high road and work my a** off, and I’m going to get everything I get on my own, so nobody can be like, ‘Yo I gave her that.’ The only thing I got from him was fame, and fame don’t get you no f***ing money.”
Kanye West harassed ex Kim Kardashian online after their divorce
In 2021, Kim Kardashian filed for divorce from West. After this, West publicly stated that he didn’t see their divorce as legitimate and begged for Kardashian to take him back. In a statement, Kardashian asked that West stop harassing her after he complained about her parenting.
“Kanye’s constant attacks on me in interviews and on social media is actually more hurtful than any TikTok North might create,” she said, per Elle. “As the parent who is the main provider and caregiver for our children, I am doing my best to protect our daughter while also allowing her to express her creativity in the medium that she wishes with adult supervision — because it brings her happiness. Divorce is difficult enough on our children and Kanye’s obsession with trying to control and manipulate our situation so negatively and publicly is only causing further pain for all.”
West eventually made a post stating that he would take accountability for his actions.
He is currently facing a lawsuit brought forward by his former assistant
West is currently facing serious allegations from his former assistant, Lauren Pisciotta. In a lawsuit, she alleges that he “touched, groped, fondled, grabbed and forced himself in and on” multiple occasions (per USA Today).
Pisciotta alleged that West gave her a drugged drink that put her in a “heavily impaired state.” While she had no memory of the night, West later told her they “hooked up.” This led her to believe she was “in fact drugged and sexually assaulted.”
Pisciotta said she hesitated to speak out about the incident, as she feared retaliation.
