Kanye West’s Legal Troubles Stress Kim Kardashian as He’s Rumored to Evade Lawsuits, Sources Say
Kanye West and his wife, Bianca Censori, took the media by storm in 2024. The couple tied the knot in December 2022 and emerged as a couple a month later in the new year. Before Censori and West were an item, West was married to Kim Kardashian, and they now share four kids. Unfortunately, West’s current legal troubles having nothing to do with Kardashian allegedly stress her. Here’s what’s going on.
Kim Kardashian allegedly feels stressed by Kanye West’s legal troubles
Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have a long history. The couple tied the knot in May 2014 and finalized their divorce in March 2022. They have four kids: North, 11, Saint, 8, Chicago, 6, and Psalm, 5. In 2024, Kardashian discussed feeling like she had to parent her kids without West’s help, especially after he embarked on his Japan travels for his next album. In October 2024, a source told In Touch Weekly that Kardashian feels stressed by West’s legal troubles with his former assistant.
“It’s got Kim’s head swirling, and she’s obligated to apprise herself of the situation,” the source said. “But to say she finds it sordid and stressful is an understatement.”
West’s former assistant, Lauren Pisciotta, worked for him from 2021 to 2022. She filed a lawsuit claiming West sexually assaulted her at a party held by Sean “Diddy” Combs after she had a laced drink, among other nefarious claims. Previously, she filed a lawsuit against West claiming wrongful termination. West’s lawyers denied all of the allegations, claiming West now plans to file a lawsuit against Pisciotta.
“Prior to her termination as an assistant, Ms. Pisciotta stole his cell phone in an attempt to destroy phone records that would contradict her claims, all of which have been preserved,” West’s legal team stated, according to In Touch Weekly.
Kanye West might be evading the sexual assault lawsuit by staying in Japan
Kanye West reportedly hasn’t been served paperwork for Lauren Pisciotta’s lawsuit because of his extensive Japanese travels. In late November 2024, Pisciotta’s lawyer, Mark Koorenny, accused West of trying to avoid the allegations.
According to Koorenny’s filing, West was “out of the country” and “evading service” as a result, according to DailyMail.com. This, in turn, stalled the case’s progress. Koorenny reportedly plans to ask the court if the case can proceed.
“Plaintiff will apply to the court ex parte in early December 2024 with a declaration regarding attempted service and the request to serve via publication,” he wrote in his filing.
West has been touring Japan since June 2024. He reportedly lives in a hotel and is hard at work on his album, “Bully.” Music journalist Touré called the rapper “upper-class homeless” in Tokyo, according to TMZ, and he enjoys staying in the city because the locals leave him alone.
He might make a permanent move to Japan
Does Kanye West plan on staying in Japan full-time? A source told In Touch Weekly that if the rumors prove true, Kim Kardashian will have something to say about West’s living situation.
“Rumors have been swirling for a while that Kanye intends to relocate to Tokyo and renegotiate his custody terms with Kim because he’ll want the kids to travel there frequently once he’s settled,” the source claimed.
While Kardashian isn’t happy about West living in Tokyo, neither is Bianca Censori. A source told DailyMail.com that Censori wants “stability” in her marriage.
“Bianca is sick of hopping from hotel to hotel and from city to city,” the source claimed. “She has been doing this their entire marriage. She’s not had any stability since she married Kanye, and with the lawsuit, she is stressed.”
