Kanye West’s Support Isn’t Helping Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs According to These Attorneys
Kanye West has always considered Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs a role-model, once even joking the music mogul even inspired West’s choice in wives. Because of West’s admiration for the Bad Boys producer, he’s been advocating for Diddy’s release when other celebrities have gone silent about the CEO’s situation. But based on the reaction of attorneys, support from West isn’t doing Diddy any favors.
How legal experts responded to Kanye West’s support of Diddy

West once credited Diddy for helping him become the man that he is today. He made a special and surprising presentation at the 2022 BET awards honoring Diddy’s legacy while listing all the ways Diddy shaped his creativity. Lately, West has also been displaying his loyalty to his idol as Diddy faces potential jail time.
It seems many have distanced themselves from the producer after he was hit with a mountain of allegations. West has been the only one actively supporting for Diddy’s freedom. According to Standard, he released a series of social media posts condemning his fellow celebrities for staying quiet about Diddy’s predicament. He also seemed to question the definition of domestic violence, which was a clear reference to Diddy’s assault on Cassie.
“Hey question if someone were to beat up their girlfriend in public, would that be considered domestic violence, or is that outdoor violence, or is it just public indecency? ….Im just asking for a friend,” he said.
However, some of the attorneys of Diddy’s many accusers mocked West’s attempts to free his idol. According to TMZ, attorney Tyrone Blackburn called out West’s mental state and his exploitative relationship with his wife. Blackburn also said “birds of a feather flock together” in regards to West’s outcry. Another attorney, Lisa Bloom, echoed Blackburn’s sentiments. Meanwhile, Tony Buzbee, who’s also been in a high-profile spat with Jay-Z, reemphasized that Diddy must remain in the jail he’s currently being housed in.
How Kanye West was allegedly affected by Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ allegations
After Diddy was arrested, there were reports that West feared he could possibly be next. Unlike with Diddy, there’s been no evidence of West being physically abusive with anyone. However, West is involved in a sexual assault case. NBC News reported not too long ago that West is being sued by a model for allegedly shoving his fingers down her throat and strangling her. This was just one of a few lawsuits that West has to deal with.
West and his wife Bianca Censori were reportedly spending months away from the United States, making Japan their new home. Sources claimed to Daily Mail, however, that he wasn’t staying overseas to enjoy some downtime.
“Kanye’s reasoning for not being [in America] has nothing to do with his children and has everything to do with the multiple lawsuits that he is facing in the states,’ the insider said in an interview with Daily Mail.
His move was reportedly inspired by Diddy’s situation.
“With all this stuff with Diddy, Kanye is terrified,” the source added.
But the source clarified that West claimed he was innocent from all of the crimes he was accused of. Still, the insider shared that he was still keeping in touch with his family despite the move.
“Kanye loves his kids more than life itself and has said this many times. He speaks to them and Facetimes with them often. North is a daddy’s little girl,” the source added. “West] maintains his innocence, but this is what he’s keeping out of the country for.”
