Kanye “Ye” West is back on X — for now. West continued his antics online after he and Bianca Censori performed a stunt on the 67th Annual Grammy Awards red carpet. He took to X to announce that he identifies as a Nazi and briefly sold swastika T-shirts on the Yeezy website. Even more recently, West questioned whether Casandra “Cassie” Ventura had “extorted” Sean “Diddy” Combs.

Kanye ‘Ye’ West questioned Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ ex, Cassie Ventura, on X

R&B singer Casandra “Cassie” Ventura and Sean “Diddy” Combs were in a relationship from 2007 to 2018. In 2023, she sued Combs for raping, sex trafficking, and physically abusing her during their romance. Combs and Ventura settled just a day after Ventura’s legal team filed in court. However, that was just the beginning of Combs’ troubles, as Ventura’s allegations led many others to come forward and sue Combs for alleged abuse.

In 2024, hotel surveillance footage from 2016 showed Combs grabbing, kicking, and attacking Ventura in a lobby. This strengthened Ventura’s claims against Combs.

Combs is currently held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn following the Homeland Security raids on his property in 2024. He’s accused of sexual assault, harassment, racketeering, and sex trafficking, and is set to head to trial in May 2025.

During Kanye “Ye” West’s first set of X rants in 2025, he posted, “FREE PUFF.” He then called on President Donald Trump to free the hip-hop mogul. In yet another X post, he accused others in Hollywood of allowing Combs to “rot” in prison.

On Feb. 21, 2025, West returned to X with more controversial statements. “Did Cassie extort Puff?” he wrote.

Bianca Censori Allegedly Once Declared She Was Going to ‘Cancel’ Kanye West Before Dating Him

Kanye “Ye” West returned to the U.S. in early 2025 after spending several months in Tokyo, Japan. He and Bianca Censori lived abroad while he worked on his next album, Bully. While in Japan, West was hit with several lawsuits in the States. A source told DailyMail.com that the rapper planned on staying abroad because of the multiple lawsuits and because he was “terrified” of the allegations against Sean “Diddy” Combs.

“Kanye’s reasoning for not being [in America] has nothing to do with his children and has everything to do with the multiple lawsuits that he is facing in the States,” a source told the publication. ” … With all this stuff with Diddy, Kanye is terrified.”

However, West doesn’t appear too bothered by the lawsuits against him. He took to Twitter on Feb. 21, 2025, to speak out against his ex-employee, Lauren Pisciotta, who’s suing him.

The hip-hop mogul’s lawyer quit his case with a mysterious message

Kanye “Ye” West supports Sean “Diddy” Combs despite the mounting evidence against Combs. However, Combs might be facing a new crisis after his lawyer, Anthony Ricco, quit his case in February 2025. Ricco issued a motion to withdraw from the case with a cryptic message.

“Although I have provided Sean Combs with the high level of legal representation expected by the court, under no circumstances can I continue to effectively serve as counsel for Sean Combs,” Ricco stated, according to The U.S. Sun. “There are sufficient reasons (related to the protections afforded by the attorney/client privilege) for brevity in my application for withdrawal as counsel in this case.”

Ricco’s decision to exit the case will not delay Combs’ trial date or prevent Combs from moving forward with the case.
