Kardashian Fans are Concerned About True Thompson’s Relationship With Her Sibling
High-profile breakups (and sometimes high-profile make-ups) are a big part of the Kardashian-Jenner family allure. The love lives of the famous sisters continue to be a major draw for drama and attention, and the fact that so many of their beaus have made it onto their reality TV show, Keeping Up with the Kardashians, has only added fuel to the fire.
Now that many of the sisters have children, though, the complexity of these relationship webs is getting more and more tangled. Fans of the family are starting to get concerned about what impact the ups and downs might have on the youngest members of the crew.
In particular, fans are worried about True Thompson and what her relationship with her sibling might be.
Khloé Kardashian and Tristan Thompson had a rocky relationship
In the late summer of 2016, Khloé Kardashian was spotted leaving a night club with NBA star Tristan Thompson. Later, the pair revealed that they met at a dinner set up by a mutual friend. Within a few months, they were vacationing together. They made their relationship social media official with a Halloween-themed post.
They were both posting about being together over the holiday season, but signs of drama on the horizon were clear. Thompson’s ex gave birth to his first child, Prince Oliver, around the same time.
Rampant speculation suggested Thompson had started his relationship with Kardashian before he officially left his pregnant girlfriend. While Kardashian denies this, the timeline certainly left many questions unanswered.
Khloé Kardashian and Tristan Thompson have a daughter
By September of 2017, it was clear that their relationship was very serious. In fact, the news got out that they were expecting a child together. While Kardashian didn’t confirm the news until December — claiming she didn’t want to upstage her sister Kylie Jenner, who was also pregnant — fans became quite invested in watching this new development for the growing family.
This wasn’t necessarily a happy time for the pair, though. Thompson was caught on camera with other women just weeks after news got out about the pregnancy. They seemed to weather that storm, but then more cheating allegations surfaced.
This time, Thompson was caught on video kissing another woman just days before Kardashian’s due date. Once again, the pair seemed to work through the struggles.
When reports surfaced that Thompson was unfaithful yet again — and this time with Kylie Jenner’s best friend Jordyn Woods — it was one time too many. The pair split for good before their daughter True’s first birthday party, but they made it clear that they were co-parenting together.
Will the split impact True Thompson’s family ties?
It’s widely believed that Thompson and Kardashian are headed for a reconciliation. The pair were quarantined together during the pandemic outbreak, and it seems like Kardashian’s family members support giving Thompson a second (or fourth) chance.
It appears they both care deeply about giving their daughter a supportive and loving home whether they are together or not.
However, fans are still worried about what the troubled relationship and its rocky past will mean for their daughter. In particular, fans are concerned about True Thompson’s relationship with her brother, the baby born right as Kardashian and Thompson started their relationship.
Fans worry True Thompson will not know her brother
Fans took to Reddit to talk about the issue and brought up the way that Thompson is being portrayed on Keeping Up with the Kardashians: “They are trying HARD to redeem Tristan this season, presumably (like most of us here think) to sway the public’s opinion on him before they announce he and Khloe are back together.”
Viewers noticed a real absence when it comes to talking about True’s brother, however. “Well talking about that would mean talking about how Tristan cheated on his pregnant girlfriend with Khloe and clearly they’re not trying to paint Tristan for who he really is at this point , I doubt we’ll ever see [True’s] brother mentioned,” one fan wrote.
“It’s like True is more important than his other child because she is a Kardashian, and he’s so influenced by media and people’s opinions that he has none of his own,” another said.
Without a doubt, True’s relationship with her brother will be shaped by her father’s connection to his son. We can only hope that what we see on the screen isn’t the full picture and that True will get a chance to know her sibling.
