The Kardashian-Jenner sisters can certainly afford to have private chefs cook all their meals for them and no one would fault them if that were the case. But over the years some of the siblings have claimed to be pretty skilled in the kitchen and cook lots of large-scale meals themselves.

Here’s what we know about who cooks what and where Mama Kris Jenner got her culinary skills.

Kris Jenner went to cooking school

Before she built an empire and managed her children’s careers, Kris went to cooking school.

“When I married Robert Kardashian I was 22 years old and one of the gifts we received as a wedding present was six weeks at a cooking school in Los Angeles,” she wrote in her cookbook In the Kitchen with KrisA Kollection of Kardashian-Jenner Family Favorites. “It turned out to be one of the absolute best gifts we would receive because it literally laid the foundation for what would become a crucial part of our family–food and cooking.”

Do her daughters cook for themselves?

So while Kris does know her way around the kitchen and has cooked meals for her family over the years, the jury is still out on at least one of her daughters.

Kendall Jenner has never claimed that she cooked the majority of her meals. In fact, the model admitted that she doesn’t cook that much and for dinner likes to order takeout from some of her favorite restaurants like Nobu or Craig’s.

Kylie Jenner has taken to her Instagram stories on a number of occasions to share what she likes to eat and cook. Most of Kylie’s meals are pretty basic like eggs, turkey bacon, and her specialty is Ramen noodles; the kind that comes in the package.

Kourtney Kardashian has carried on the tradition of cooking some of her mother’s recipes for her own children from time to time and even made her mom’s famous guacamole dip for a family party a few years back.

Khloé Kardashian has said many times that she loves cooking. The Great American founder enjoys cooking not only for herself and daughter True but for her whole family on holidays. “I cook and clean every Thanksgiving by myself,” People quoted her as saying. Khloé said Kris taught her how to cook and used to let her make some meals for Kendall and Kylie when they were little.

The sister fans question if she knows how to cook at all is Kim Kardashian West. The KKW Beauty founder has opted for personal chefs to cook her and her kids’ meals for a long time and as Pop Sugar noted even has a separate kitchen for the chefs to cook in. But when Kim started sharing photos of soul food dishes she claimed to make, some fans doubted that.

It didn’t help that she wouldn’t share recipes for how to cook the meals. Then there are other fans who believe that she has learned how to cook some of the dishes but troll her over the pics of the meals she posts every chance they get.

This was the case in July 2020 when a photo the mother-of-four posted years earlier resurfaced online. Fans took turns guessing what the cuisine actually was while bashing how it looked. The conversation gained so much traction that it started to trend and Kim hopped on Twitter to set the record start, stating that it was sweet corn truffle pasta from one of her favorite restaurants.
