In spring 2017, Prince William found himself in the midst of a cheating scandal. According to some tabloid reports, the Duke of Cambridge had too much fun on a ski trip with his friends. Things went south when the future king was caught on camera partying a little too hard, with his hands all over a woman at the Farinet nightclub in Switzerland. Sources close to the royals said Kate was “less than pleased” by her husband’s actions, but whether or not he took things a step further is unknown.
That might have been one of the first times he was accused of cheating, but it wasn’t the last. Unfortunately, Prince William has recently found himself in another cheating scandal — and this time it’s a little more serious. Following reports of a major falling out between the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and their closest couple friends, Rose Hanbury and David Rocksavage, the Marquess of Cholmondeley, rumors suggest Prince William might have had an affair with his wife’s best friend.
The accusations stem from an alleged feud between Kate Middleton and Rose Hanbury. “It is well known that Kate and Rose have had a terrible falling out. They used to be close but that is not the case any more [sic],” a source revealed to The Sun. “William wants to place peacemaker so the two couples can remain friends, given they live so close to each other and share mutual friends. But Kate has been clear that she doesn’t want to see them any more [sic] and wants William to phase them out, despite their social status,” they added.
While the cause of their feud is unknown, many chalked it up to an affair and have even gone so far as to say that Prince William and Prince Harry’s on-going feud might have been about the cheating scandal, not Prince William’s alleged issues with his brother and Meghan Markle’s fast-moving relationship. “Wills would absolutely have told Harry about the affair,” reporter Nicole Cliffe wrote on Twitter. “And I think that Harry was like ‘this is exactly what ruined our childhoods,’” she added.
As with most scandals, the royal family declined to comment on the rumored affair.

The future king was (understandably) jealous of their budding relationship, the two ended up back together, and the rest is history.
