Kate Middleton has been in the spotlight since January 2024. Kensington Palace announced that she underwent abdominal surgery at the beginning of the year, prompting speculation from royal family followers. Now, we know that Kate has cancer and has been undergoing treatment. According to a source, Kate and Prince William’s kids worry for her, and she wants them to have good summer memories.

Kate Middleton allegedly feels ‘horrible’ that her kids worry about her after her cancer diagnosis

Kate Middleton announced in March 2024 that surgeons found cancer after her abdominal surgery. Due to the findings, her medical team advised that she undergo preventative chemotherapy.

“It has been an incredibly tough couple of months for our entire family, but I’ve had a fantastic medical team who have taken care of me, for which I am so grateful,” she said in a video posted to X.

“This, of course, came as a huge shock,” she continued, “and William and I have been doing everything to process and manage this privately for the sake of our young family.”

Kate and Prince William have three children: Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, 9, and Prince Louis, 6. A source told Life & Style that Kate feels “horrible” that her three kids worry about her health. She and William have a fun summer planned with the kids.

“It’s going to be all about being outside in nature and letting the kids just be kids,” the insider stated. “Kate feels horrible that her children have been so worried about her so, more than ever, she wants to make sure this is a summer to remember. She’s promised they’ll have no bedtimes and lots of treats!”

The insider noted that Kate’s brother, James Middleton, brings his dogs to play, and she wants the kids to spend time with their cousins. Additionally, George, Charlotte, and Louis requested to hike and bake.

“Without George, Charlotte, and Louis in class, things are going to be more chaotic for Kate,” the source continued. “But she’s been resting and gearing up for it.”

Kate Middleton Sends Thank-You Notes to the Public In a Surprising Twist From Royal Protocol Amid Cancer Diagnosis

Royal expert Katie Nicholl spoke to Entertainment Tonight about Kate Middleton’s cancer treatment. According to Nicholl, Kate initially had difficulty tolerating the treatment, but she was doing better in June 2024.

“She’s tolerating this preventative chemotherapy better,” Nicholl said. “I think she had a hard time in the beginning. These are strong drugs that she’s on, but she’s she’s tolerating it better, and she’s doing better. We’ve had reports from members of the public that she’s been out and about. I’ve heard from certain people that … she’s out with the children. That’s a really positive sign.”

Nicholl added that royal family watchers should expect Kate to return to public duties once her condition improves. However, the royal needs time.

“She has made it very clear that she wants to stay out of the spotlight,” Nicholl added. “She needs this period and below the radar for her recovery.”

Will Kate Middleton appear at Trooping the Colour?

Many royal family followers thought it was not very sure that Kate Middleton would appear at Trooping the Colour in 2024. Trooping the Colour is on June 15, and she missed the Colonel’s Review on June 8 — a rehearsal for the big day. However, she plans to attend the momentous event.

“I am making good progress, but as anyone going through chemotherapy will know, there are good days and bad days,” she wrote on X. “On those bad days you feel weak, tired, and you have to give in to your body resting. But on the good days, when you feel stronger, you want to make the most of feeling well.”

A PR expert said King Charles III would be “delighted” if Kate attended his birthday celebration.

“If Kate were to appear on the balcony, it would definitely dominate the news,” PR authority Rhea Freeman explained to GB News, according to Marie Claire. “But from everything I’ve read and seen, I would imagine that the King would be delighted to have her there.”

King Charles III also has cancer but plans to attend the big day.
