Kate Middleton Once Teased Prince William About His Hair Loss in Public and He Just ‘Took It’
Royal fans cannot seem to get enough of Kate Middleton and Prince William. The couple has lived their adult lives in the public eye, as cameras have followed them for nearly two decades. They have become so comfortable at public appearances, that Kate, Duchess of Cambridge, once made fun of William’s hair and he “just took it.”
Kate Middleton and Prince William have shared many funny moments together
According to Hello! Magazine, when William and Kate announced their engagement back in 2010, she joked that she was marrying the prince because he is “very funny.” Cameras often catch the couple sharing a laugh during their tours and official engagements.
Both avid sports fans, the couple cracked up together at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, during a tennis match at Wimbledon, and at the opening ceremonies of the 2015 Rugby World Cup.
During their royal tour of Canada, William and Kate appeared to have “a case of the giggles” when they visited Province House. The same thing happened when he held a medical test mannequin at the University of Calgary’s Ward of the 21st Century in Canada.
The Duke of Cambridge also made his wife laugh out loud during a visit to Warner Bros. studios in London. But, the real smiles and laughs come when William and Kate play with their children.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge occasionally enjoy some PDA
When it comes to the royal family, the unwritten rule has been that couples don’t show affection in public. But, that has started to change a bit. While they may not be as affectionate in public as Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have occasionally enjoyed some PDA.
William and Kate do hold hands in public. Hello! Magazine published a photo of the couple in August 2020 that showed Kate with her arm around William while they laughed and played games on Barry Island.
The parents of Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis rarely share a kiss in public. In 2012, William and Kate visited the United States. After he played in the Audi Polo Challenge in Santa Barbara, California, Kate congratulated William with a kiss on the cheek. But, the only real kiss fans have seen William and Kate share was after their wedding in April 2011.

William and Kate’s playful relationship is obvious to fans when the couple attends sporting events together. They also enjoy teasing each other during sport-focused public engagements. Kate’s teasing isn’t limited to sports, according to Strictly Come Dancing contestant Clara Amfo.
She told Hello! Magazine that when she met the duke and duchess in 2018 at Kensington Palace, Kate teased William about his hair.
“Kate had no qualms making fun of William’s hair situation,” Amfo revealed. “And he took that. There was a lot of banter around that, it was very funny! Prince William is the most fun royal that I’ve met. He’s got a lot of banter actually. He’s a very funny guy.”
Amfo described William and Kate’s energy as “really funny.” She added that they “vibe off each other very well,” and they are like “a really loving, comedy act.”
