How Kate Middleton Reacted When Another Women Said She Wanted to Kiss Prince William
Prince William and the Princess of Wales (formerly known as Kate Middleton) meet plenty of people every time they’re out and about or attend a royal engagement. Therefore, they have a lot of practice when it comes to handling different questions and situations when they’re in public.
So how did the Prince of Wales react when a lady named Betty wanted to kiss him? And what did Kate say about that request? A video of the princess’s response has now gone viral.
What Kate said after Prince William admitted Betty wanted to kiss him
The video posted to TikTok that has gone viral features footage from a Zoom call William and Kate had with actors Emma Stone and Emma Thompson about the 2021 movie Cruella.
The video opens with William talking about a playful encounter with a woman he had met saying: “I got propositioned by a 96-year-old lady called Betty yesterday who wanted to kiss me.”
Kate then chimed in and joked: “This is what happens when I’m not around!”
The TikTok video then cuts to several clips of Kate. It has been viewed hundreds of thousands of times with over 78,000 views and more than 200 hundred comments.
William elaborated that he had met Betty Magee who lives in a care home and they chatted over ice cream when Betty said: “It’s customary in these parts to give a lady a kiss on the cheek.”
The prince replied: “Betty if I … nah … I’m going to get slapped on the back of her head for being, you know, inappropriate, social distancing … you are sweet. You’ll make me blush. When the rules relax more, I will come back and give you a kiss on the cheek.”
Commenters gush over something about Kate
Many of the commenters not only gushed about how cute the couple was being in the interview but also Kate’s voice.
“I went crazy with Kate’s voice,” one user wrote while another added, “Her voice is to die for.”
A third person posted: “She puts on like a more soft voice usually and then in these Zoom calls we can hear her sort of normal voice & it’s so attractive.”
Others talked about the “rasp” the princess had in her voice writing: “The Rasp LAWD” and “I felt the rasp in my gut.”
And on a more serious note another person wrote: “I pray she recovers. He can’t do it without her.”
William has been without Kate for several months as she’s been undergoing treatment. She made her first public appearance following her cancer diagnosis. during Trooping the Colour for King Charles’s birthday celebration but acknowledged that she’s “not out of the woods yet.”
In a message on social media, the Princess of Wales wrote: “My treatment is ongoing and will be for a few more months. On the days I feel well enough, it is a joy to engage with school life, spend personal time on the things that give me energy and positivity, as well as starting to do a little work from home … I hope to join a few public engagements over the summer, but equally knowing I am not out of the woods yet.”
