Kate Middleton clung to her religious faith during her cancer crisis claims a royal expert. The Princess of Wales found strength in the darkest moments of her health struggles, leaning on friends and family who have the same beliefs as she does, for support.

Kate Middleton leaned into her faith while battling cancer

According to royal expert Ian Pelham Turner, Kate Middleton leaned into her faith even more after being diagnosed with cancer. The Princess of Wales was treated for six months for an undisclosed type of the disease.

“Information [has been] appearing about Kate and how, during the period of [her] cancer treatment [she has] strengthened her values with her Christian faith by talking to friends who have strong religious values,” Turner said (per Fox News Digital).

He added this important element of her cancer journey “impacted positively on her recovery.” Consequently, the expert claimed Prince William has a different faith journey than his wife.

“It is said, according to those in his inner circle, that Prince William has little interest in religious affairs,” Turner explained.

A new book makes the same bold claims about Kate Middleton’s faith

The Daily Mail excerpted a segment of Robert Hardman’s biography of King Charles titled Charles III: New King, New Court, The Inside Story. The author concurred that Kate Middleton leaned more into her faith than ever before throughout her illness.

He wrote, “The Princess, on the other hand, is said to have become rather more interested in questions of faith as a result of her condition. I would say that things are more hopeful there.”

Hardman agreed with Turner’s assessment that Prince William isn’t as faith-filled as his wife. Subsequently, William will be the Church of England’s head when he becomes king.

“He is a modern young man,” says another [family friend]. “And I think he gets embarrassed by certain aspects of ceremonial and religion.”

However, “The Prince’s position, say those in a position to know, is that, when the time comes, he will observe all his constitutional obligations to the Church of England. He will not, however, suddenly become a regular worshipper or feign enthusiasm for something that he does not feel personally, however bleak the situation.”

Kate Middleton observes a Christian-based faith. The royal family observes the rites and religious practices of the Church of England.

She was baptized into the Church of England ahead of her 2011 wedding to Prince William. Before that, Kate was raised in a predominantly Christian household.

The Church of England, per its official website, believes in most, if not all, aspects of the Catholic faith. However, it does not recognize the pope as its head.

Instead, the King or Queen of England is its head. They are followed by the highest-ranking clergyman in the Church of England, the Archbishop of Canterbury.

Kate Middleton and Prince William raise their children Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis to adhere to the Church of England’s faith and practices. As the heir to the throne after his father, Prince George will someday head its congregation.
