Kate Middleton’s Return Shamed ‘Ignorant’ and ‘Nasty’ Trolls: Royal Photographer
A commentator believes Kate Middleton‘s return to public life shamed “vile” trolls who “lied” about her health. Speculation surrounding the Princess of Wales’ health hit a fever pitch in the months after a January abdominal surgery.
A royal photographer believes Kate Middleton will rise above rumors regarding her health
In January, a statement regarding Kate Middleton’s health was released by Kensington Palace. It revealed that the Princess of Wales underwent a “scheduled” abdominal surgery.
Three weeks later, Kate was discharged from the hospital and began to recover at home. It wasn’t until March 2024 that the princess publicly revealed that she had cancer.
It took royal watchers another three months to receive a health update from Kate. On June 14, she shared an Instagram statement that she would begin forward-facing duties in a limited manner, beginning with Trooping the Color on June 15.
Royal photographer Arthur Edwards called Kate’s statement “powerful.” He added, “She’s not thinking of herself. She’s thinking of her children. William and other people suffering from cancer.”
“It shows the strength of this lady,” Edwards continued. “Rest, relax, get better. Get treatment and ignore the trolls.”
“Don’t read them; if anyone criticizes you, ignore them. They’re just being ignorant and nasty.”
“There’s no room in your life at the moment for nasty people. Only loving, kind, and caring people. You’re surrounded by them in your house and home,” Edwards concluded.
What message did Kate Middleton share on social media which shot down internet trolls?
Kate Middleton shared a message on Instagram. The princess spoke of the “support and encouragement” she has received over the last couple of months. Kate said the kindness she has been shown has “made the world of difference” to her family.
“I am making good progress, but as anyone going through chemotherapy will know, there are good days and bad days. On those bad days, you feel weak and tired and have to give in to your body resting. But on the good days, when you feel stronger, you want to make the most of feeling well,” Kate wrote.
She continued, “My treatment is ongoing and will be for a few more months. On the days I feel well enough, it is a joy to engage with school life, spend personal time on the things that give me energy and positivity, and start to do a little work from home.”
Kate concluded, “I am learning how to be patient, especially with uncertainty. Taking each day as it comes, listening to my body, and allowing myself to take this much-needed time to heal.”
Details surrounding the powerful new portrait of the Princess of Wales
People Magazine reports that the stunning new picture of the Princess of Wales accompanying her Instagram statement has a deep meaning. The royal was seen in a wooded setting as she leaned against a tree.
Royal biographer Sally Bedell Smith shared her thoughts on why this particular image is both powerful and telling: “There she is in nature, which has fortified her, and looking upward in a sign of real hope and encouragement for everybody.”
Photographer Matt Porteous took the solo image in Windsor, where Kate lives with Prince William and their three children. Porteous said of the image on Instagram, “I am deeply honored and grateful to have had the opportunity to capture such a special moment.”
Kate Middleton will continue to recover at home with her husband, Prince William, and children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.
