Kate Middleton Set to Make a Major Royal Appearance at Glamorous Upcoming Event
2025 will likely look different for Kate Middleton than people expected. The Princess of Wales is now cancer free, but the diagnosis has reportedly shifted her priorities to focus more on her well-being and her family (though she has always been a hands-on mom).
William and Kate will continue taking on royal duties, but Kate’s appearances might never be in the full capacity they were prior to 2024. Still, the two have plenty of engagements planned for 2025, and Kate will now make an appearance at a very glamorous event that she has attended in the past.
Kate Middleton is set to make a BAFTA appearance
Although William and Kate are working royals, they are celebrities as well. The Wales couple might mostly make appearances based on their own royal schedule, but every once in a while, they walk a red carpet. Kate was the most-Googled woman in the world in 2024, so despite not having the job description of a typical celebrity, she is still highly influential in terms of her fashion, interests, and overall lifestyle.
The Princess of Wales will once again attend the BAFTA Awards in February 2025. William will likely be alongside her, as the couple has attended the awards several times in the past. However, Kate did not attend in 2024 as she was recovering after her abdominal surgery, though it was before she had announced her cancer diagnosis. William wears a tuxedo to the event, while Kate often stuns in a floor-length gown as the two post for photographs on the red carpet.
“BAFTA has close ties with William and Kate and is pulling out all the stops to try to secure Kate’s presence at this year’s awards,” a source close to the couple told Daily Mail. “It sent her warmest wishes when she revealed her cancer diagnosis and hopes she will appear alongside William in what will be her big showbiz return since she’s been in recovery.”
Kate Middleton is slowly making her royal return
Kate’s life shifted drastically in 2024, and although she has been done with treatment for several months now, the princess has been slow to resume regular royal duties. Although sources have made clear that Kate is now prioritizing things outside of her royal duties and won’t be the ever-present royal she once was (and many are perfectly fine with that), the princess is still planning to make many more royal appearances than she was able to in 2024.
William and Kate want to ensure that their three children have parents who are present at all times in their lives, though William did hint late last year that he hopes he and his wife will make more royal trips in 2025.
