After months out of the public eye, Kate Middleton re-emerged with a telling Instagram post and photo. The Princess of Wales spoke of her health, continued recovery, and when she would take on a more public role as she continues cancer treatment. However, it appears Kate’s simple image revealed much more.

Kate Middleton’s first Instagram post in 3 months speaks of ‘rebirth,’ says commentator

Over the last six months, Kate Middleton has publicly appeared only a handful of times. Royal watchers saw the princess in a Mother’s Day photograph, a video in which she expressed she had cancer, an Instagram update, and at Trooping the Colour.

However, it was her latest Instagram update that caused chatter among royal watchers. This included Daniela Elser, from News.com.au, who believes Kate’s photo update was carefully calculated to include hidden messages.

“In the new image of the Princess of Wales, taken by regular royal snapper Matt Porteous, she is seen standing beneath a willow tree, which Google tells me means can symbolize rebirth. That’s nice and all, but to me, what this current Kate and No. 10 situation and even the imagery of the shot drives home is that it’s Kate who is the trunk, the solidity, the foundation on which the future of the British monarchy rests.”

“Ever since William put Diana, Princess of Wales’ quail’s egg-sized sapphire on his university girlfriend’s finger in 2010, the princess has mattered politically, to some degree. Given that she will one day be queen and is the mother of a future king,” Elser continued.

Kate’s disappearance from public life raised some eye-opening royal questions

Kate Middleton ‘Struggled’ With Cancer Treatment, Says Royal Expert: ‘It’s Not a Pleasant Thing’

As Kate Middleton continues treatment for an undisclosed type of cancer, interest in her health continues to spike among royalists. Kate’s absence from royal life from January 2024 through June raised more questions than answers regarding the royal family’s status.

It became painfully clear that while Charles is king, Prince William and Kate Middleton are the royal family’s nucleus. Therefore, when Kate stepped back from royal life, her absence raised some eye-opening royal questions about the House of Windsor.

Daniela Elser believes that William and Kate draw the most interest within the family. When Kate and William stepped away from public life due to her illness, the royal family was left exposed and subsequently generated less interest without its key players.

“Looking back at the last six months, the Princess of Wales’ sudden and complete removal from public view has thrown up (or should that be, throne up?) some painful, home truths about the House of Windsor,” she began. “The figures that are the PR nuclear power station of the royal family? The people who hugely and disproportionately draw eyeballs, interest, and clicks are Kate, William, and their family.”

“The princess now occupies a place in British public life and the public imagination and psyche that you would have to go back to the former owner of that sapphire ring to find an equal to,” Elser concludes. She linked Kate’s popularity to that of the late Princess Diana, William’s mother, and the former Princess of Wales.

What did Kate Middleton say in her latest public statement?

Three months following a March 2024 Instagram post where Kate Middleton revealed she had cancer, the Princess of Wales updated her followers on her health and future within the royal family. Kate Middleton posted the following remarks on June 14, 2024:

“I am making good progress, but as anyone going through chemotherapy will know, there are good days and bad days. On those bad days, you feel weak and tired, and you have to give in to your body resting. But on the good days, when you feel stronger, you want to make the most of feeling well,” she began.

Kate continued, “My treatment is ongoing and will be for a few more months. On the days I feel well enough, it is a joy to engage with school life, spend personal time on the things that give me energy and positivity, as well as starting to do a little work from home.”

The statement concluded, “I am learning how to be patient, especially with uncertainty. Taking each day as it comes, listening to my body, and allowing myself to take this much-needed time to heal.”

Kate Middleton has yet to reveal her next public appearance on behalf of the royal family.
