Apparently, dealing with Prince William isn’t always easy. According to The Independent, a source told Mirror that William does have tantrums quite often; he gets frustrated about things, which in turn means that Kate has to deal with it. But the insider also claimed that Kate’s “secret weapon” for dealing with her husband is throwing couch cushions at him.
It might seem odd, but it supposedly diffuses the situation in a light-hearted way; it resembles a pillow fight in a sense, which allows the two to get their frustration out in a non-damaging manner. It seems that every couple has their own technique for handling stress and arguments, and this reportedly works for the Prince and Princess of Wales.
“William and Kate throw cushions at each other. It’s always kept under control,” the insider, an alleged former staffer, said. They added that Kate sometimes sees William as if he is a “fourth child” due to those tantrums.
Although William and Kate never fight in public, it’s fair to say that with the pressures of royal life always weighing heavily on them, it’s possible there are some arguments here and there.
