Kate Middleton Tells Fan About Outfit She Regrets Wearing on Christmas, Says ‘I Shouldn’t Have Worn It’
Each year on Dec. 25, the royal family makes the quarter of a mile walk to the Christmas Day services at St. Mary Magdalene Church near the Sandringham estate. The royals always bring us some fashionable moments with their festive attire and the walk is great for fans who want to catch of glimpse of the family in person. The walk did not happen in 2020 so that crowds didn’t gather during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
But in 2019, Prince George and Princess Charlotte made their debut alongside Kate Middleton and Prince William. While the family was all smiles that day, the Duchess of Cambridge was a little uncomfortable and revealed why she didn’t think she should have worn a certain article of clothing.

Kate rarely gets it wrong when it comes to what to wear but according to her, she made a fashion mistake with her 2019 church attire.
Prince William had on a suit and tie under his coat while Prince George was dressed in a dark blue blazer and trousers. Princess Charlotte donned a green Amaia coat and stockings while Kate wore a heavy grey Catherine Walker coat with a green hat. But the duchess made a confession to a fan about her coat and revealed why she regretted wearing it.

Kate chatted with Rachel Anvil that Christmas morning and explained why she wished she would have left her heavy jacket at home.
Rachel’s mother, Karen Anvil, who was at Sandringham that day too, told the U.K.’s Metro what the Duchess of Cambridge said. “Kate was talking to my daughter about clothes and how she was feeling too hot. She said ‘I really shouldn’t have worn this,'” Karen recalled, adding: “I’m there talking to Charlotte about dolls and my daughter’s talking about fashion with Kate. It wasn’t fake it was a genuine discussion, it was about a minute but it was tailored to my daughter, it was like speaking to a friend.”

Data from a study done in the U.K. recently has shown that Kate is the most fashionable royal woman and the biggest influencer with her style. Prince William’s wife averages 9,010 Google searches a month pertaining to her fashion. That’s more than her sister-in-law Meghan Markle, who has about 5,350 monthly Google searches, and the late Princess Diana who has around 6,000.
According to the TopMobileCasino study, “Kate Middleton dresses” is one example of a high-search term as it was Googled more than 4,600 times in a single month.
