Kate Middleton Thanked Her Nurses and Doctors in the Sweetest Way During a Recent Visit
Kate Middleton had an unexpectedly challenging year in 2024. The Princess of Wales was diagnosed with cancer after undergoing abdominal surgery, and she spent almost the entire year out of the spotlight. King Charles, Kate’s father-in-law, was diagnosed with cancer right around the same time.
Charles and Kate have developed an extremely close relationship through the years, and the two felt more connected than ever in 2024, as they both underwent cancer treatment. Kate recently returned to the hospital where she sought treatment, and she had the sweetest gift for those who helped her.
Kate Middleton brought sweet treats to her nurses and doctors
The Princess of Wales shocked the world when she announced her cancer diagnosis in March 2024. Although Kate has never revealed what kind of cancer she had, she did spend time undergoing chemotherapy treatment at the Royal Marsden Hospital. And after learning she was in remission, Kate returned to the hospital to thank the dedicated nurses and doctors who took care of her.
According to Daily Mail, Kate returned to the hospital around Christmas to bring various gifts and treats to those who cared for her. Insiders said she brought things like biscuits to show her thanks, which were likely so appreciated by the healthcare staff.
Kate also sat down and spoke with patients undergoing similar treatments, and she revealed some previously-unknown things about her treatment, including that she was always cold and that she felt like she needed sunlight more than anything else. Kate spent a good bit of time there, and she is now a patron of the hospital, which is a common thing for royals to do with charities and organizations they care about.
Kate Middleton said she is ready for a ‘fulfilling’ 2025
The Princess of Wales has returned to royal duties, and although she might still take things slow, Kate seems eager to get back to a sense of normalcy. The princess shared a sweet message on Instagram to thank those who cared for her, and she hinted that she has big plans for 2025.
“It is a relief to now be in remission and I remain focused on recovery,” Kate wrote on Instagram. “As anyone who has experienced a cancer diagnosis will know, it takes time to adjust to a new normal. I am however looking forward to a fulfilling year ahead. There is much to look forward to. Thank you to everyone for your continued support.”
