An author says Kate Middleton is planning a full royal return. They say the Princess of Wales won’t “recede into the shadows” following numerous reports that she is planning a pared-down public life.

When Kate Middleton does return to royal life, it will be business as usual

It has been six months since Kate Middleton appeared in a public-facing capacity. The Princess of Wales was last seen publicly on Dec. 25, 2023, when she appeared alongside royal family members for a Christmas Day church outing.

Subsequently, the princess underwent a scheduled abdominal surgery in January 2023. She retreated from the public eye to recuperate. However, the demand for information regarding her disappearance from public life prompted Kate to release a video in March explaining a cancer diagnosis.

After that, Kate remained out of the public eye while undergoing chemotherapy. In the months since, reports have emerged that she may return to a forward-facing life in a different capacity.

Royal author Christopher Anderson believes differently. He told Fox News, “Let’s not jump the gun, folks.”

“Kate is undergoing cancer, and it’s perfectly understandable that she’s out of the picture for the moment,” Anderson continued. “There is no doubt in my mind that Kate will return to public life once she’s satisfied that she’s done everything her doctors have told her to do to defeat her illness.”

He concludes, “Kate is all about her family, but she is also all about duty to her country. She is keenly aware of the roles she plays as Princess of Wales, the future queen, wife of a future king, and mother to a future monarch. Kate didn’t spend 10 years waiting to land her prince so that she could eventually recede into the shadows.”

Kensington Palace should be more transparent regarding Kate Middleton’s health: author

Royal author Christopher Anderson believes Kensington Palace’s silence allows the media to create a false narrative about Kate Middleton. He believes they should be more transparent.

Anderson believes there’s too much “rampant speculation” about the Princess of Wales’ health. He adds, “If she can’t make it to Trooping the Color because of the side effects of chemotherapy, then say it now,” says Andersen.

“Saying she’s skipping the rehearsal isn’t enough. Don’t keep everyone hanging because that gives rise to absurd statements like ‘we may never see her again,’” he concludes.

Kensington Palace has revealed that Kate Middleton would not attend the Colonel’s review of the Irish Guards. She has performed that task since March 2023.

It is still unclear whether the princess will appear at the annual Trooping the Color ceremony, which takes place on June 15, 2024. The New York Post reports that royal watchers shouldn’t rule out a brief appearance during the King’s birthday parade.

Instead of participating in the entire ceremony with other senior royals, Kate Middleton may choose to appear briefly on the Buckingham Palace balcony. She could stand alongside Prince William and their children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, to watch the traditional RAF Flypast.

However, none of this speculation has been confirmed by Kensington Palace. Kate could remain out of this traditional royal event for the first time in 13 years if advised by her doctors.

Kate Middleton has been married to Prince William since 2011. She became Princess of Wales in September 2022.
