Kate Middleton is one of the most fashionable royals, and she’s just as stylish when she travels. In 2015, the Duchess of Cambridge was spotted boarding an airplane while carrying a beautiful overnight bag. And surprisingly, it costs less than $100.

Kate Middleton’s go-to travel bag is from Joules

Prince William and Kate took a trip to the Caribbean island of Mustique in February 2015. On their return flight to the United Kingdom, the couple was seen boarding a British Airways plane.

While Kate — who was pregnant with Princess Charlotte at the time — held a 2-year-old Prince George, William carried her quilted blue floral-print overnight bag.

Fashion sleuths quickly determined it was a Joules holdall/carryall in a blue posy print. An old listing describes it as a 100 percent cotton “stopover” bag with a solid red interior, two grab handles, and a shoulder carrying strap. At the time, the travel bag had a retail price of approximately $90.

Joules doesn’t carry Kate Middleton’s blue posy overnight bag anymore

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were spotted carrying the Joules overnight bag in 2015. But the product was introduced a few years earlier.

Joules has since discontinued the blue posy design. But the brand carries similar items.

On its UK site, Joules offers new weekender bags with floral prints, but those sell out quickly. However, the solid yellow Joules and Pelham Coast Travel Duffle Bag is available for only around $88.

The Duchess also favors two other gorgeous travel bags

The Joules is Kate Middleton’s go-to luggage when she wants a bright, colorful overnight bag — which was perfect for her tropical vacation. But she’s been seen carrying two other bags that are a bit more subdued.

The Duchess of Cambridge has been spotted sporting Longchamps Le Pliage bags on multiple occasions. She has carried the red and black versions of the Large Le Pliage Nylon Shoulder Bag. And she’s also been seen with a Medium Top Handle version in black and the leather Mini Le Pliage Cuir in brown.

The other carryall Kate loves is the Smythson Panama East West Zip Tote. The royal has been photographed with it while traveling to Islamabad, Glasgow, and Copenhagen.

Kate’s exact bag is no longer available on the Smythson of Bond Street website. But the label has a similar zipless leather version — East West Tote Bag in Panama — that runs around $925.

The Duchess’ Longchamps Le Pliage bags are more affordable, selling for $115 to $235, depending upon the size and style. They are available in the United States at retailers such as Bloomingdale’s and Nordstrom.
