Katy Perry‘s motherhood journey is barely 2 years old, but she already has numerous plans for her child. The star has been very vocal about motherhood and how it has helped her confidence. She recently revealed that she is saving her most iconic looks in a temperature-controlled vault for her daughter to wear in the future.

Perry and her fiancé Orlando Bloom have spent the better part of the decade in the limelight. Their romance began in early 2016 when they met at a Golden Globes party. The pair seemingly fell for each other, dating almost immediately. However, they kept the relationship under wraps for a while before Perry posted it on Instagram in May 2016.
They briefly broke up in 2017 but before long got back together with Perry confirming their reunion. Many sources cited that the pair broke up due to Bloom’s thoughts against another marriage. Bloom was notably married to actor Miranda Kerr for three years.
However, he popped the question to the “Wide Awake” singer in 2019, setting a date for 2020, but postponed the wedding. The couple announced they were expecting their first child together (Bloom’s second) through the singer’s “Never Worn White” music video. They welcomed their daughter Daisy Dove Bloom on August 26, 2020.

Perry recently spoke to PEOPLE magazine about family and fashion and shared that she owns an expansive collection of her top-tier red carpet looks.
The singer revealed that she has a Clueless-style temperature-controlled vault that she stores all her clothes in for her little girl to raid one day. She said, “Everything is in a warehouse-It’s like the closet scene in Clueless. It’s all itemized by picture and number. Daisy is going to have a lot.”
Perry also revealed that she’s enjoying the mommy-and-me matching outfit moments saying,
“It’s very cute because you only have a listed amount of time before they don’t want to wear what you pick out, so get it in while you can.”
Perry further told the magazine that her daughter’s name, Daisy came from an iconic movie with Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks. In the movie, You’ve Got Mail, Ryan’s character says, “Daisies are the friendliest flower.”
Perry agreed with the line noting that the flower grows anywhere, calling it “so pure and sweet.” The singer told Page Six Style a while back that her daughter enjoys dressing up and showing off her outfits. She called her daughter “my everything muses.”
Daisy Dove also serves as Perry’s inspiration for her Katy Perry Collection footwear line. The singer recently bought back ownership of the line relaunching the shoes in full ownership.

Perry was born to Mary Christine and Maurice Keith Hudson, both Pentecostal pastors. The singer moved around a lot during her childhood as her parents set up churches across the country. She attended religious schools and camps during her elementary years.
Secular music was frowned upon in the Hudson household, so the singer listened to gospel music growing up. She, however, discovered pop music through a CD gifted to her by her friends. She has credited Alanis Morisette’s “You Oughta Know” for impacting her singing and songwriting. Perry began training when she was nine and started singing in church from nine to 17 when she transitioned to secular music.
