Keanu Reeves has a nice guy reputation and there’s a good reason why. Reeves is really as nice in real life as he seems and he’s often shown kindness and patience with his fans that’s unmatched.

Keanu Reeves took time with a young fan

Reeves has a busy and successful acting career and when he’s not filming, he’s training for a role. According to the actor’s personal trainer, Reeves was on the way to the gym one day when he took time to speak with a young fan. It would have been a quick walk to the gym to work out, but he didn’t hesitate spending time with the boy.

“When we were filming John Wick 3 in New York City, it could take 30 minutes to cover a three-minute journey from his apartment to the gym because he couldn’t say no to fans asking for a photo,” his trainer, Patrick Murphy, told Esquire in February 2021.

“He’d even let fans walk with him, share their ideas, and talk about movies. One day, an autistic boy jumped on him from behind and KR turned rapidly and realized the situation,” Murphy continued. “The mother was apologetic, but KR embraced and calmed the boy immediately, signed memorabilia, and had a beautiful chat and photo with him.”

“I’ve always admired KR’s kindness. He’s simply the best,” Murphy added.

Keanu Reeves surprised a fan who left a sign in her yard

While Reeves filmed Bill & Ted Face the Music on location in 2019, one of his fans, Stacey Hunt, who lived in the neighborhood where they were filming placed a sign reading “You’re breathtaking” in her yard. It totally caught Reeves’ attention and he stopped to meet Hunt.

The sign reflected the moment Reeves said “You’re breathtaking” when someone in the audience at a Cyberpunk 2077 presentation at the Xbox E3 2019 event yelled it to him.

Hunt shared her amazing Reeves encounter with Nola.com. “Three people got out of the car and were walking into my yard, and I said, ‘Oh my gosh, that’s Keanu Reeves!,’” she recalled. “I probably said ‘no way’ about a dozen times.”

“I could not believe that he was in my yard, and he was casual and like, ‘Can I sign your sign?’” she said.

He wrote, “Stacey, you’re breathtaking.”

Reeves went the extra mile to give a fan his autograph

One of Reeves’ fans shared an encounter that proves how generous the actor is. In a 2019 series of tweets, SBNation.com writer James Dator said that when he was 16 he was working in a movie theater that Reeves came into.

He wanted the actor’s autograph, so he offered him his employee discount in the hopes Reeves would sign a paper. The actor declined the offer, but realized Dator wanted his autograph.

Dator tweeted: “In honor of John Wick 3 I have a Keanu Reeves story. Keanu came to the movie theater I worked at in Sydney in 2001. He was working on The Matrix series at the time. It’s a quiet, Wednesday morning — almost nobody is seeing movies.”

When Reeves turned down the employee discount, Dator shared, “I’m flustered and just charge him the normal price. Kicking myself after for not getting his autograph.”

Then Reeves literally went out of his way to deliver an autograph. “2 minutes later there’s a knock on the door behind me that leads into the box office. I assume it’s my manager. It’s Keanu,” Dator shared.

“’I realized you probably wanted my autograph,’ he says. ‘So I signed this.’ He hands me a receipt from the concessions stand that he signed on the back. He then casually throws an ice cream cone in the trash can and sees his movie,” Dator recalled.

He added, “I realize later that he bought an ice cream cone he didn’t want, just to get receipt paper so he could scribble his autograph for a 16-year-old idiot.”
