Keanu Reeves Makes Rare Appearance With Girlfriend Alexandra Grant
Keanu Reeves is one of those celebrities that everyone seems to know and love, but he’s also one of the most private. This is certainly understandable, but when it comes to a world-famous actor like Reeves, you can’t help but wonder what his personal life is like.
As it turns out, Reeves lives a relaxed life with his girlfriend Alexandra Grant. Their relationship became public knowledge in 2019, but not much else has been heard about them since. The two made headlines after spending a rare night out together in March of 2021.
Who is Keanu Reeves’ girlfriend?
Grant is an artist based in LA. Us Weekly reports that she and Reeves met in 2009 at a dinner party and decided to keep in touch. They became business partners when they worked together on two books, Ode to Happiness and Shadows, that were released in 2011 and 2016, respectively, and eventually became romantically involved.
How long have Keanu Reeves and Alexandra Grant been together?
The pair went public at the LACMA Art + Film Gala in LA in late 2019, where they were photographed holding hands.
“They were standing next to each other and laughing by themselves towards the beginning of the cocktail hour,” a supposed eyewitness told Us Weekly. “Even when they were standing talking to others, they still stood next to each other.”
After the appearance, a source told the magazine that Reeves and Grant had allegedly been together for much longer than people realized.
“It wasn’t a secret,” the source added. “They have been dating since at least [the] summer of 2017.”
What has their life has been like since?
In early 2020, Grant opened up to British Vogue about their romance, detailing how their relationship grew after publishing their first book together.
“The book [Ode to Happiness] was made as a surprise, by me, for Keanu, as a private gift,” she explained. “All our friends sitting in the room got the giggles when I gave it to him – they said, ‘Please publish it!’ So that’s how we got into publishing.”
She also talked about all the attention she and Reeves said when they revealed their relationship, saying that “every single person” she knew called her afterward.
As far as their future, Grant kept her comments to a minimum, including when asked about possibly marrying the Matrix star. She would only say: “Love at every level is deeply important to my identity. How’s that for dodging the question? I do not believe that isolation is the way. There is a period of isolation that I do as a painter, but I deeply value the experience of being in relationships.”
She and Reeves were seen out together on March 13, 2021. Us Weekly reports they allegedly went to dinner at the Beverly Hills restaurant Spago with actor Alex Winter, who appeared with Reeves in Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure. In photos, the two walked closely together in matching black outfits.
Most recently, Reeves sparked engagement rumors after being spotted jewelry shopping.
