True Jackson, VP stans could have a big surprise awaiting them in 2021, that is, if the show’s star, Keke Palmer, is to be believed.

Earlier this month, the actress posted a TikTok video of herself dancing to the catchy theme song of the hit Nickelodeon sitcom— which she also sang and co-wrote — while claiming that a series reboot is currently in the works.

While Palmer’s video excited everyone who grew up watching the show, it also caused a few people to question whether or not a revival is actually happening?

Fans fully support a ‘True Jackson, VP’ revival

2020 might have been a real struggle for all of us, but there’s a good chance 2021 could be an amazing year — especially if these True Jackson, VP reboot rumors turn out to be true.

Almost nine years after the series aired its finale episode, the show’s star, Palmer, has hinted at a possible revival on TikTok, and fans couldn’t be more thrilled.

In the video — which was posted on Apr. 21 — the Strahan, Sara, and Keke co-host is seen dancing along to the show’s theme song with the caption, “When they cancelled True Jackson VP prematurely just to reboot it in 2021.”

Palmer then shared the post on Twitter adding a second caption that read, “Congrats! Another reboot! Y’all made this happen.”

For those of you who don’t know, True Jackson, VP aired on Nickelodeon from 2008-2011 and told the story of 15-year-old True Jackson, a fashion-forward high schooler who is hired as the Vice President of a prominent clothing company’s youth line by the brand’s CEO.

The show had all the makings of a fan-favorite teen sitcom: wacky hijinks, various challenges True and her best friends, Lulu and Ryan, always found solutions to, even a budding romance that was left unresolved (which many of us are still upset about).

While fans were quick to show their support for the series getting a modern-day reboot after seeing Palmer’s post, some weren’t too sure if the actress was joking or not about this announcement.

Though many nostalgic Nick and Disney sitcoms have been making their return to the small screen, we have yet to get a definite confirmation about the True Jackson, VP revival.

As of right now, there’s no telling if Palmer was being serious or not about the reboot, but that doesn’t mean she and her co-stars aren’t open the idea of bringing the show back for real.

The rest of the cast is on board for a reboot

While it’s pretty clear Palmer is down to reprise her role in a True Jackson, VP reboot, apparently, so is the rest of the main cast.

Robbie Amell, who played True’s love interest, Jimmy Madigan, in the show, recently revealed to Entertainment Tonight that he and his co-stars love the idea of a True Jackson, VP revival.

“I was learning about it as people online were learning about it,” he revealed. “And then me and Keke and Ashley [Argota] and Matt [Shively] were all kind of texting back and forth, like, ‘This would be really fun. This would be awesome.”

Amell went on to share that he hopes there’s some truth behind the ongoing reboot rumors as his role in the show has always held a special place in his heart.

“So I don’t know if there’s any real truth to it right now…But I would definitely jump back in,” he said. “I love that show and, you know, it was one of my first real jobs in L.A.”

Right now, there’s still no word on whether a True Jackson, VP revival is actually happening. But in case Nick does decide to reboot the show, at least we know most of the cast is on board to make their comeback.
