Kelly Clarkson filed for divorce from Brandon Blackstock
The married couple showed that they were isolating together in Montana on their ranch called Vintage Valley. Clarkson talked about enjoying her time away from the city on The Kelly Clarkson Show.
“We officially bought our ranch, Vintage Valley, over a year and a half ago,” she said. “I just love being outdoors. Brandon and I love wide open spaces and coming to the ranch because well both of us grew up in the countryside, one. And two, we literally work almost seven days a week if not seven days a week. So you know when we have time off we really like to check out.”
Clarkson eventually returned to Los Angeles and she filed for divorce. She cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason. The singer also want shared custody of their children, River Rose and Remington Alexander.
There is a rumor they clashed during isolation
A source claimed the married couple struggled during isolation. The insider told Us Weekly several reasons behind the breakup.
“They clashed on so many levels, and being in quarantine together heightened their problems to the point of no return,” the source said. “So she filed for divorce.”
The source claimed they have very different personalities. “Everyone thought Kelly and Brandon had the perfect marriage, but they definitely didn’t,” the source explained. “Brandon’s very laid-back, whereas Kelly’s pretty high-strung.”
Their preferences were reportedly different for locations too. The talent manager liked Nashville, but Clarkson’s work keeps her in Los Angeles. “When she went to Hollywood, it changed things,” the source said.

Clarkson won a Daytime Emmy for The Kelly Clarkson Show. The show managed to win for its first season. Clarkson won the Emmy for Outstanding Entertainment Talk Show Host. Kelly Ripa, Michael Strahan, Sara Haines, Keke Palmer, Maury Povich, Sara Gilbert, Sharon Osbourne, Sheryl Underwood, Eve, Carrie Ann Inaba and Marie Osmond were also nominated in the category.
