Kelly Ripa Has Been Hiding Something on Her Face for a Month and No One Noticed
Kelly Ripa is the co-host of Live with Kelly and Ryan, a morning talk show that airs every weekday. Since Ripa is on TV many times a week, there is no doubt she faces a lot of pressure to maintain her appearance.
Ripa has been in the public eye for over 20 years now, and it seems she is basically a pro at looking good on camera. In fact, Ripa shared she has been successfully hiding something unsightly on her face with makeup for the past month.

Like many people around the world, Ripa and her family are isolating amid the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. She no longer goes to work at the show’s studio every day. Rather, Ripa and her co-host, Ryan Seacrest, have been filming remotely and connecting via Skype.
Recently, Ripa also revealed she and her family are in the Caribbean as opposed to their home in New York City, according to a source who attended a town hall meeting for ABC employees.
“We had planned a trip for our family, and it was supposed to be our entire family of course,” Ripa reportedly shared, according to Woman’s Day. “We arrive and three days later, the entire world changed, really. I mean, everything shut down; the government shut down; our country shut down. I hate to use the word stuck, but we were. We decided to stay where we were.”

Since Ripa is social distancing, she does not have access to professional hair stylists and makeup artists. As a result, she has been taking matters into her own hands when it comes to concealing imperfections on her face.
According to the Daily Mail, Ripa shared on the May 26 episode of Live that she has actually been using DIY makeup to hide a sty for a month. In fact, Ripa said she deserves an Emmy for “special effects makeup” because her sty has not been noticeable on air at all.
“About three or four weeks ago, [a sty] popped up. And, you know, [I] called the doctor. He said there’s really nothing to do,” Ripa shared, adding that the sty has “taken on a life of its own, a shape of its own” despite her best effort to control it.
Seacrest agreed that Ripa’s makeup skills in covering up the sty are “fantastic.”

Although Ripa still tries to look presentable on camera, the host revealed that the pandemic has allowed her to look at her appearance in a new way.
On the May 15 episode, Ripa shared she no longer gets caught up in her looks like before, according to Us Weekly. “I have a new outlook on life,” she said. “Certain things don’t matter anymore and my appearance is one of those things that just don’t matter.”
In response to the negative commenters who criticize her more low-key makeup nowadays, Ripa also clapped back: “First of all, let me just say, to people commenting about our appearance, How dare you and you’re lucky that we actually put clothes on. It’s harder than you think to roll out of bed and come to a TV show.”
