Kelly Rowland Dazzles in Orange While Having a Blast with Her Sons at a Water Park
Twenty-seven years after Kelly Rowland joined Destiny’s Child in Houston, Texas, the singer returned to Space City to celebrate the grand opening of the region’s newest water resort. With two kids in tow, the 43-year-old looked absolutely radiant as she laughed and played with her family.

After $200 million and three years of construction, Great Wolf Lodge celebrated its opening in the Houston area on August 7. The indoor water park resort is the Chicago-based company’s 22nd location in the U.S. and second in Texas. Locals are happy with the addition, as Great Wolf Lodge has created nearly 700 jobs for Texans. Naturally, the grand opening required a little star power.
Kelly Rowland attended the opening ceremony with the two sons she shares with husband Tim Weatherspoon: Titan Jewell Weatherspoon (b. November 4, 2014) and Noah Jon Weatherspoon (b. January 2021). The “Survivor” singer often shares glimpses of her family life on social media, showcasing her role as a devoted mother.
Kelly Rowland is in her ‘family era’
Rowland enjoyed the all-inclusive resort with Titan and Noah. Wearing a luxurious orange ombre kaftan, she and her boys played in the lazy river and adventure park. The 4-time Grammy Award winner’s blonde bob and tangerine look made her skin glow as she played with her kids. The boys, aged 9 and 3, are the perfect age for the resort aimed at the “younger crowd,” according to Community Impact.
Rowland has come a long way since signing with Columbia Records in 1997. As Destiny’s Child rose to fame, the singer, songwriter, and actor traveled the world. But she’s always remembered her Houston roots. Since the girl group disbanded in 2005, Rowland has forged her own path, releasing hit singles like “Dilemma” and appearing in movies like Freddy vs. Jason. Now, the former X Factor judge has a husband and kids.
Rowland began dating her manager, Tim Weatherspoon, in 2011. They got engaged in December 2013 and married in an intimate ceremony in Costa Rica on May 9, 2014. Rowland’s family background includes her mother, Doris Rowland Garrison, who died in 2014, and her father, Christopher Lovett. She has openly discussed her estranged relationship with her father, which they have since worked to mend. Rowland’s journey reflects her commitment to family and personal growth
