Kelsey Grammer’s Real-Life Daughter Set to Appear in Season 2 of ‘Frasier’ Reboot
The Frasier reboot was greenlit for season 2 months ago, and now the team is getting back to work. The cast returned to the set in May, adding a new actor to the cast. When season 2 premieres, fans will get the chance to meet a grown-up Alice Doyle. Kelsey Grammer’s daughter, Greer Grammer, will portray the character when the reboot returns.
Greer Grammer to appear in ‘Frasier’ reboot
Greer Grammer is set to take on a recurring role in the Frasier reboot. According to TV Line, Grammer will appear in season 2 of the reboot as Alice Doyle, the daughter of Dr. Frasier Crane’s former radio producer, Roz Doyle. Alice’s birth was featured on Frasier. According to the publication, Alice will appear in Boston after moving to Providence. While there isn’t much information about the plot yet, TV Line claims that Alice will create problems for Freddie Crane’s romantic life.
Alice won’t be the only one from Seattle showing up in Boston in season 2. Peri Gilpin reprised her role as Roz Doyle in season 1. Fans will be seeing much more of her. TV Line claims Gilpin will be a recurring character in season 2 of Frasier. Reportedly, she’ll grapple with leaving Seattle and settling elsewhere, presumably close to her daughter in Providence.
Greer Grammer isn’t Kelsey Grammer’s only child in Hollywood
The Frasier reboot isn’t Greer Grammer’s first foray into Hollywood. Greer Grammer previously appeared in several TV shows and movies. Most notably, she appeared in Awkward. The obscure series aired from 2011 until 2016 on MTV. She appeared as Lissa in 65 of the show’s 89 episodes. She also appeared on The Middle and, most recently, in one episode of The Goldbergs. It is unclear how many episodes of the Frasier reboot the actor will appear in, but her character will be sticking around for a while, according to insiders.
Greer Grammer isn’t the only one of Kelsey Grammer’s children interested in an acting career. Kelsey’s oldest daughter, Spencer Grammer, is also a well-known actor. She famously starred in Greek on ABC Family. She currently voices Summer in Rick and Morty. Kelsey Grammer’s daughter, Mason Grammer, is also actively acting. She has also appeared in a few projects, although none have been attached to her famous father.
Kelsey Grammer has seven children. So far, only three of his seven kids have shown much interest in acting, but three are still rather young. They may find their way into Hollywood one day, too.
Paramount+ has yet to announce a premiere date for Season 2 of Frasier.
