Kelsey Nicole Slams Megan Thee Stallion in Diss Track and on Instagram
In the ongoing saga of Megan Thee Stallion versus Tory Lanez and her former best friend Kelsey Nicole, there’s a new development.
After the initial release of Megan’s Good News album and the single, “Shots Fired,” Kelsey had something to say. She now has more to say in the form of a rap and Instagram sound-off. Twitter and Instagram lit up with Kelsey and Tory Lanez trending into the night.
Kelsey Nicole drops diss track about Megan Thee Stallion
On Thanksgiving eve, Kelsey surprised the internet by announcing her own song, “Bussin Back,” a diss track aimed at Megan Thee Stallion. It features the beat from Tupac Shakur’s “Hit ‘Em Up,” a song created during the beef between the late rapper and Notorious B.I.G.
“Are you lying to your label/Do they really know what happened?” Kelsey rhymed. She also mentions “All you had to do was clear your best friend’s name,” which makes reference to the shooting incident that took place back in July.
Social media users have mixed reactions, with some asking why Kelsey did the song in the first place and others questioning details surrounding the shooting where Megan, Tory Lanez, and Kelsey were in the car.
“Nah she just confirmed Tory shot her,” wrote one Instagram commenter. Another added, “This girl was never a friend, she been waiting on this moment!”
Kelsey Nicole addresses Megan Thee Stallion on Instagram
To reinforce her position, Kelsey went in on Megan on an Instagram Live session. She accused her of breaking girl code and messing with a guy she was on first. She said she didn’t want to do this on the internet but, addressing Megan, Kelsey said, “You steady trying to put me down. Why?”
She continued, “I wasn’t your enemy, you made me your enemy. We stopped f*cking with each other, but I wasn’t your enemy.” Via the Live chat (listen here through Onsite!), Kelsey went on to tell Megan that because she made a diss track for “millions of people to hear” and humiliate her, she earned the right to respond.
She also chided Megan for not calling her about the drama and asserted that she’s a narcissist who contradicts herself. Some fans think that Kelsey felt hurt about their fallout and she’s still keeping some secrets under wraps. Kelsey urged Megan to expose her if she wants.
Megan Thee Stallion’s ‘Shots Fired’ sparked it
Kelsey Nicole made it clear that Megan’s song “Shots Fired” led her to speak out. She indicated she was tired of feeling bullied and didn’t understand why her former friend was “trying to bury me.”
The “Savage” rapper didn’t call out Tory Lanez or Kelsey by name in her song, but most knew she was talking about the two. There were several lyrics aimed at Kelsey and Megan insinuated she was ready to collect hush money from Lanez.
Megan Thee Stallion seemingly responded to all the “Bussin Back” posts with some laughing emojis on Twitter and a clip of her and some “besties” flipping the bird on Instagram.
