Kendall Jenner Revealed Kylie’s Pregnancy Took Her Some Time to Process: ‘I Didn’t Expect It’
Kendall Jenner has so much love for little sister Kylie Jenner’s daughter, Stormi Webster. Kendall and Kylie have always been so close, and Stormi, who was born in 2018, was a surprise to the family. But Kendall, despite her overall excitement, once admitted that she could hardly process the news when she found out.
Kendall and Kylie Jenner did everything together when they were young
When the Jenner sisters were growing up on Keeping Up With the Kardashians, they were always involved in the same plot lines, activities, and career opportunities. All of the Kardashian kids were well into adulthood, and Kendall and Kylie, who were only nine and 11 when filming started, were always getting into mischief together.
Through the years, the sisters have taken completely different career paths, but they have always remained close. But Kendall admitted she was surprised when Kylie and Travis Scott announced a pregnancy in 2017.
Kendall ‘didn’t expect’ her sister to get pregnant
In June 2017, after Kylie and rapper Travis Scott had only been dating for about two months, the couple learned they were expecting their first child. It was a surprise, but they were excited. And Kendall later revealed that it was a surprise for her as well.
In an interview with Elle, Kendall described learning of Kylie’s pregnancy as a “weird” experience. “It’s obviously a bit weird that your little sister is having a baby before you. I didn’t expect it to happen like this. But it’s beautiful,” Kendall said. She also noted that the baby brought the two of them closer. “We’ve always been very close, but we would butt heads all the time. This has made her a bit more loving toward me.”
Kendall has since said she and Stormi have a close bond
When discussing her nieces and nephews, Stormi seems to stick out in Kendall’s mind above the rest. She and Kylie have always spent so much time together, and now, Kendall is doing the same with Kylie’s daughter. In an interview with E! News, Kendall attributed the closeness in part to Kylie being her little sister. “I don’t know if it’s because she’s my little sister’s baby, but I don’t know. We have a nice bond. I can feel it.”
The supermodel isn’t rushing to have kids
Though Kendall loves being an aunt, she isn’t quite ready to step into the role of mother. The supermodel is focused on her career and, despite that she is the only member of the Kardashian family without kids, she isn’t looking to start a family right away. Though she does get baby fever now and then, it usually goes away pretty quickly.
Jenner once revealed that she could see herself having kids in her late 20s, but those years are still quite a while away. Jenner’s best friend, Gigi Hadid, also recently announced a pregnancy, so she’ll definitely get her share of experience around little kids by the time she becomes a mother.
