Khloé Kardashian has been trending more than usual since an unauthorized picture of her in a swimsuit started floating around the internet. At first, Kardashian and her team worked to get the photo removed but that just caused more people to share it. Kardashian then uploaded a video of her nearly naked body to Instagram to show everyone what she looked like. Now, she’s posting gym selfies to shut her haters up.

The Kardashians work hard to curate the version of themselves that is presented to the world. So, when an off-guard picture of Kardashian was uploaded to social media without her consent, her team tried to get it removed.

“The color edited photo was taken of Khloé during a private family gathering and posted to social media without permission by mistake by an assistant,” Tracy Romulus, chief marketing officer for KKW Brands, told Page Six.

“Khloé looks beautiful but it is within the right of the copyright owner to not want an image not intended to be published taken down,” Romulus continued.

Khloe’s response

After more people continued to share the photo, Kardashian posted videos of her body so that people could see what she looked like.

“Hey guys, this is me and my body unretouched and unfiltered,” she wrote. “The photo that was posted this week was beautiful. But as someone who has struggled with body image her whole life, when someone takes a photo of you that isn’t flattering in bad lighting or doesn’t capture your body the way it is after working to hard to get it to this point – and then shares it to the world – you should have every right to ask for it not to be shared – no matter who you are.

“In truth, the pressure, constant ridicule and judgment my entire life to be perfect and to meet other’s standards of how I should look has been too much to bear,” she continued.

She went on to talk about how she has always been compared to her sisters and called the ugly one. She also admitted to using filters and editing her photos, and said that she would continue doing so.

“My body, my image, and how I choose to look and what I want to share is my choice,” she finished. “It’s not for anyone to decide or judge what is acceptable anymore.”

Kardashian’s heartfelt post about being judged for her body was met with mixed reactions. Some people felt bad for Kardashian and others felt like she was dealing with a problem that she created herself.

Yesterday, Kardashian took to her Instagram Story to take out her frustration in the gym.

“Therapy time! So this is my therapy,” she said while standing in a gym. “And I don’t think anyone works out better and stronger than someone that’s frustrated, angry, mad, determined. Let it all out in the gym and that’s what I’m about to do.”
